The only reason to stay is to try for a NC. It's the only ring JT doesn't have in his collection. Sadly, the lure of the NHL and the big $$$ will dwarf the lure of coming back for one more shot at to hoist a NC. However, Jack Johnson stayed around another year as did Boyle, so it's not out of the question. That said, I am expecting both to be gone but would be pleasantly surprised if one or both chose to stay.

Exhibit A in why I hate the Rodents. Some A-hole coming on the Sioux board to claim that Sioux fans are Gopher obsessed, whiny little babies. By chance are you the same idiot in Denver that had the brillant "Sue is a girls name sign" that left the arena in tears after the "drubbing" the Sioux put on the Gophers. Have fun in your BC jersey. It's definately a step above the piss and crap colored uni your sporting now.

BC was better for one night. I'd like our chances if we were lacing 'em up again tonight. Everyone one of those guys in the lockerroom played hard and gave it their all. All you had to do was look at their faces at the end of the game. It's still great to be a fan of the Fighting Sioux.

My bad. Maybe since I was in such a black mood after they lost, I got confused. I guarantee if they wore black on Friday they would have had that extra step in the OT. Unbeaten in black. No brainer. Wear the blacks. They got the MOJO.

We have lost once in the Blacks. OT loss to DU on Friday. I know, I was there. I say wear 'em because the make us SO MUCH FASTER. No way Porter scores on that wrap around wearing those flappy green unis. Finley hits another gear wearing the blacks. Those guys at Nike are genius. A jersey that gives us a real and noticable edge on the ice. Seriously, wear the blacks. I dig 'em.

I agree. How the Sioux handle the speed of BC will be key. They need to come out better than they did against Michigan who was by far the fastest team I saw all year.

One thing I did notice was how much ice time the top two lines got in the third period. Oshie and Toews and Porter and Duncan were paired on most of the 5 minute PK. The TV timeouts sure did help give the guys some extra time to recover. Also, the loss of Radke did mix things up on the ability to roll four lines. We commented a number of times during the game that Hakstol was gonna go with his studs in the third because it was all on the line and everyone one those guys delivered. Also, I think the D really stepped it up on Sunday. It was one of the funnest games I have ever seen in person. Great effort by both teams. The whole crowd was just on edge the last 10 minutes of the third and the whole OT. What a great feeling when Porter scored. Who better than the Senior ironman to send the Sioux to St. Louie? On the game winner, I seem to remember Jones making a good hustle play to keep the puck in the zone. Anybody remember if that was the case or am I remembering it different? Great weekend of Sioux hockey. Those going to STL will have a blast. Let's bring home number 8. GO SIOUX.
