Sioux will take the capital by storm in April of 09 and be skating around the rink with the hardware the evening of April 11, 2009. You heard it here first.

Imagine how crazy the Can would have been if only we had been given something to cheer about. The Sioux crowd was just waiting to explode that first game. I did enjoyed cheering for Notre Dame in both the semi's and the final. They played with a lot of grit and made one helluva run. Hats off to the Irish and their fans.

Excellent post. The BC player stick does appear to cause the foot to move back (watch the follow through as well). If the rule states "distinct kicking motion toward the goal" then the goal should be allowed to stand. He was trying to trap the puck and the BC stick caused the leg and foot to move backwards. Anyone have the actual rule?

I'd love to see the video of the call. Regardless of last nights game, there is no question that the WCHA needs to address the officiating issues. I wondered last night how Gerbe would perform playing a full season in the WCHA and having to deal with getting mugged every weekend. Not to take anything away from what a truely great player he is, but I have to think it would make a difference. The question I have is who makes the decision to replace McLeod and/or Sheppard? Is this voted on by the league schools?

No doubt that it was a huge call. 3-2 with about 15 minutes left could have made a difference. Seems to me that it would have to be obvious to take the goal off the board at that point in the game. After that call, Anderson missed two obvious BC penalties. With those exceptions, I thought he called a pretty good game.

Anyone have video of the disallowed goal? They never replayed it at the game.

Actually I wanted UM to win this one. I simply cannot stand BC. I'll be cheering for Miami tomorrow. Wow, could well be three CCHA at the Frozen Four. So much for WCHA dominance in this years tourney. That's OK. I only care about one WCHA school anyway and they're playing tomorrow.

From my standpoint, Sioux were dominated that period. They better pick it up in the third. Princeton played with much more energy and determination.
