  1. A lot of the post game chatter by various talkers was that after Gonzaga's poor performance against NDSU in a lot of categories, they were out to make amends for the previous game. They were out to show viewers what they are really like. They certainly played a lot better tonight.
  2. Northern Colorado, Eastern Washington and Sac State women's teams all won their 1st game in the post season.
  3. Looks like the women are playing New Mexico Wednesday night.
  4. At this level of college basketball, whether it is the Summit conference tourney or the Big Sky tourney, the only way you will have a huge turnout of fans are if the local team is playing. The Summit tourney will not have huge attendance unless USD or SDSU playing. If they are playing the South Dakota fans will show up though. As much as NDSU love fans love to brag about the tourney being in Sioux Falls and how great it is to be able to go, the reality of it is that there were only 3 or 4 hundred Bison fans there for the Championship. The Big Sky has an even higher probability of a small turnout because of the distance between schools. The Summit tourney in Sioux Falls will more than likely attract more people than the Big Sky tournament. There is a decent chance that either USD or SDSU will be in the tourney quite often.
  5. Their saying that 95% of the fans at the Summit Tourney in Sioux Falls last night were fans from SDSU. It just shows that even in the Summit tourney, most fans that go to conference basketball tourneys are from the teams that are from locations close to the home site. If SDSU or USD hadn't been in that championship there would not of been many people at the game. The Big Sky would be the same. It is the luck of the draw who is in the championship game as to how many people attend. I like the way the Big Sky does it. The top ranked team should get to host. At least in that scenario it would have the best chance of having a good crowd.
  6. So close. Earlier in the game, DeRouen had a " breakaway" like in hockey, wide open, no one near him and he missed the shot. And then to make matters worse, he rebounded his own missed bunny and missed another gimme. Inexcuseable. And you lose by 1. Wow.
  7. This team can't make a break or catch a break.

So is Steiger a scholarship player or a PWO. If a scholarship player what kind of money does that leave for late additions. I thought they were looking for defensive line or RB's for later additions. Anybody know what's going on?
  9. That flagrant foul was a joke. You are right.
  10. Listening to Freund get me excited for Fall. It can't come soon enough.

They show Nevermann as a preferred walkon. It was said that Wyoming offered him a scholarship to stay at Wyoming. If that is true, he really must of wanted out of Wyoming.

Do we have a backup kicker on the team?
  13. Let's face it , since the conference is so spread out the schools on the edges probably aren't good options for permanent sites. A also don't think there are a lot of locations that are handy to more than just a few schools anyway . There isn't a real ideal location possible. I would go with the winner of the conference gets to host it even though it doesn't allow for a lot of planning, or the winner of the conference gets to host it the next year. At least either way the winner of the conference gets some reward. All things considered ,I would go with the winner of the conference getting to host it the next year.

NDSU probably realized they were only going to have a couple North Dakota kids and figured they better change that. It might look bad. Since NDSU showed no interest before they should say, see you later. They do live in Fargo so I suppose they will jump ship. I hope they are men of their word.

So far we have commitments from recruits who were originally from 11 different states (North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Florida, Michigan, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, California, North Carolina and Alabama). We also have recruits from Canada and Sweden. Our coaching staff is really working hard. Hopefully it will pay off. Fun times ahead. No Wisconsin though.

If everybody signs on, what position would be the top priority right now to finish the class?

Don't count on any commitment till they sign on the dotted line. It seems like every year we lose 1 or 2 good ones at the last second. Just wait and see.

So if Nevermann is a walkon and Momoh was offered partial(half) scholarship by UND, and Wyoming offered them both a full ride it is quite interesting. Bohl must be scrambling.

How many spots do we have left? Do we have a specific position that is top priority or do we just shoot for best available? Rally exciting what is going on.

Wow. Bohl must be getting desperate. It is kind of funny though. You can't blame Momoh for wanting to get a full ride.

    2015 Recruiting

I am going to go out on a limb and say that the Wyoming transfer probably won't make or break our season but what a low blow to a player that just wants to get some playing time and join a team where is has a friend already playing at. When you look at what seems to be going on at Wyoming with their won loss record and apparently recruiting not going the way they would like, Bohl might be on a slippery slope already. It couldn't be happening to a nicer guy.(yea right)

So Coach Bohl is blocking the immediate transfer of the RB to UND because we play them next year. Therefore he would lose one of his years to play college football. Bohl should be ashamed. Very petty. What a loser. I feel bad for the kid.

Who knows. It we can somehow fill the needed spots through our recruiting maybe there is a chance we could be fighting for one of the 24 spots in the playoffs. It could happen. Work to do though. Never say never.

Well that didn't take long before the Bison fans were back interfering with the conversation. Don't they have anything else to do.
