Another season like last year and you'll start to see the money from hockey pull back some too. Towards the end of last season sell outs were being announced but it was clear that actual attendance (butts in the seats) was down. The fringe fans (which many at the Ralph are) aren't gonna keep shelling out $$$ to see 1-2 goals a game that is lacking of excitement.

This is the season today in regards to what to expect fan attendance wise for the rest of UNDs home games.

There were more than enough garbage cans. The only real mess (and it was a solid layer of garbage) was in the student tailgate section. It almost seems like they go out of their way to make a mess.

No, like 90% of this town I'm just apathetic about the football program outside of tailgating. Maybe Chaves will make the necessary changes......but he hasn't yet and until then it will continue to be two small steps forward and one big step back.

You should try occasionally supporting a winner too. Maybe you wouldn't be so bitter.

Reminds me of the end of the Mussman era. Most people knew it was over......but they held him a year too long which just set the program back even further. Every year with Bubba is just another year of this team spinning it's .500 wheels

Come on, faculty campus wide have been raising these concerns for years and you know it. It shouldn't come to this and Kennedy acting blindsided is ridiculous. Per his own words, the aviation program is one of the jewels of UND......yet he had no clue that the entire department is having issues with his right hand man?

Happened at his last college too. At some point it gets tougher to keep blaming others and Iike Bill Parcells used to say, you are what your record says you are.

Not a permanent fix but it's not like it's all gonna fall apart in a year or two either. Minus a few trouble areas this project greatly improves the driving experience at minimal cost for the next 3-5 years.

Correct, and I suppose it's fair to state that a small percent of those state and Federal funds also come via taxes paid by GF residents. Point I was trying to make is that the city doesn't bat an eye when it comes to paying $50K or more for things like library or downtown vibrancy consultants.......which makes this Washington project that benefits practically every resident in Grand Forks a steal that never should have took so long.

So the people of Grand Forks dealt with a good chunk of Washington Street being borderline undriveable in the curb side lane, for most of 2 summers, when a 2 week mill and overlay project only costing the city just over $100,000 is currently fixing the issue?

All this outrage because an animal died in city limits instead of making it another couple months so a hunter could shoot him instead. Ridiculous.

The Betty is more than sufficient as is. The priority is to fix the coaching situation and put a decent product on the court. If UND turns into annual contenders and starts having sell-outs year after year then evaluate expanding the seating.
