They are OK, but I don't really love the three stripes at the elbow. I'm just not a fan of a lot of stripes. I'm sure they were somewhat limited in jersey design since they were made by Gemini.

We met a handful of nice Gopher fans. The one sitting beside my friend didn't understand why we kept cheering "Let's go Sioux," even toward the end of the game so she explained that this is just what we do; cheer our team all the way through. I don't have a problem with a little picking and prodding from another fan base, this rivalry just gets a little too ugly sometimes.

MissSioux and I are looking for some sign ideas for the Final Five. Looking for ideas to poke a little fun at Minnesota, Duluth, as well as Denver. We've also got ideas for Sioux players. We just thought we'd field some ideas from here if anybody's got anything!

Two of UND's best defensemen were out most of the season, thus why Monique was moved back to 'd.' There were talented players on this team, but they still had some growing pains to get to a higher level. This last game didn't look as horrible as a 5-1 game. Minnesota's d-corp shut UND offense down and when they didn't, Raty saved them. If you saw UND's team at all prior to this past two weekends, their cross-ice passing was fantastic most of the season, but Minnesota shut that down and clogged everything up. The program has really made leaps forward. They will be a team to be reckoned with, I believe.

I think the NCAA should have photoshopped the Sioux heads out. It's really sad that it's their first tournament appearance and they don't even get to be in the program. And I will be heading down Saturday morning.

My understanding comes from talking with someone in Athletics. I had mentioned that I wondered when the new women's jerseys would be in and that's kind of how the conversation happened.

If they have the new ND logo on them, they probably won't be in the Sioux Shop soon. It is my understanding that there has been an unwritten agreement between Athletics and the Sioux Shop regarding what is sold in the shop with the new ND logo. Which is the main reason why the new women's jerseys are not available for purchase.

It really burns that it's been difficult for the women's team to crack the tournament. In the presser this week, Idalski said that he always believed that if UND could crack the top three in the WCHA that they would be able to make the tournament.

Would love to see the ladies beat Minnesota. They can do it. I firmly believe they have what it takes to beat the best.

Two teams have swept Tech this season: BSU (late October) and UMD (early December). Just thought that was interesting.

Athletics has given the women's team, as of right now, the option to decide which jerseys they will wear now that the name is "back."

I believe the women will debut their new jerseys next year when they play Lindenwood in January.

HA! My father, his friend and my brother are coming for Saturday of the UNO series and I told them to bring ear plugs because those Marverick fans will bring cowbells (they will be sitting up in that corner section). I never really understood the cowbell for "Seawolves."

I totally forgot about that one person with the cowbell. If I wasn't so annoyed, I'd give them credit for dedication.

The women take on the Gophers this weekend (7:07 Friday and Saturday). It's white-out weekend! Last year the Sioux swept the Gophers at home and Jocelyn Lamoureux had her "spin-o-rama" goal on a break away. Come out and support the team! It should be a good weekend of hockey.

Take the momentum from the wins over CC and put it toward those 'wolves. Take four points and run right back to The Ralph.

I believe that if this injury ends in surgery and the end of the season he would be eligible for a medical hardship redshirt.

Just because penalties were almost even doesn't mean that they were given or not given fairly. I think officiating could have been a ton worse however I had a small handful of "WTF?" "How did you mess that up?" and "How did you miss that?" moments. In Friday night's game Mario was penalized for goalie interference and even most people I know, including the Gopher fans around me, found it egregious. It's no wonder he was fuming in the box. There was a tripping call as well where the Gopher played fell on his own without even being touched. I'm not insinuating that things like that didn't happen on the other side, but not once did a Gopher played go to the penalty box spitting fire and we had it with two of our players. I haven't seen a Sioux player go to the box with so much anger as those two penalties in a very long time.
