  1. I think what makes tonight frustrating is getting one point last weekend and the nearly unbearable loss last night. That combination with the tie makes the last four games sting no matter how you cut it.
  2. I hope this is the the BSU loss from last year where they collapsed, completely uninspired and then went on to come back and do very well. I'm not too sure about this, though
  3. Dang it, Forbort! I had MacMillian from Kristo.
  4. And the drunk Wisconsin fans the first year I went with. Not that I'm even surprised they smuggled in flasks and were mixing drinks in their seats. The last two years hasn't been bad, even with the return of MN last year. Although, there is that jack wagon who sits about seven rows up from us and is constantly yelling and picking on UND fans around him. I still don't know how he's allowed to do that year-after-year. Anyway, Siouxforce19, MissSioux and myself will be in 117. Third year renewing our seat location.
  5. Yesterday UND put on a clinic against RIT, but you have to hand it to RIT. They never quit, even when they were down five+ goals. The RIT Athletics women's hockey Twitter was very complimentary today even though they got it handed to them. In other related women's hockey news. Minnesota is still undefeated. Today Wisconsin held them scoreless until halfway through the 3rd period. Wisco's goalie only allowed one goal and MN got an ENG. Wisconsin lost 2-0. I don't know about anyone else, but I still get excited thinking about UND playing MN mid-January.
  6. It's just my guess, but I feel like it took a bit for the team to gel at the beginning of the season and then some of the veteran players were fighting mental battles. On top of those things, Karvinen was out. I'm very happy about the sweep this weekend. I think they worked hard for it and I think the remainder of the season will be one heck've a ride! With some bumps along the way, but it will be fun.
  7. Dagfinrud had two amazing saves on the goal that tied it up for UMD to drive overtime. There wasn't anything else she could really do about it after those big saves. There was .00.2 seconds left on the clock. Duluth will be a tough team tomorrow.
  8. UND swept BSU this weekend. Sunday's game included a hat trick for Jocelyne and six unanswered goals against BSU in the second period. Next weekend, they will play against UMD at The Ralph.
  9. I'm sure they would come if more people cared about women's hockey. Obviously, there is a lack of interest considering the REA pretty much gave away tickets last week and couldn't fill the lower bowl. Wisconsin's women's team did the same thing last year and drew over 10,600 fans to the Kohl Center. Anyway, the women's team beat Clarkson today. It's going to be very important for the team to beat some highly ranked teams the rest of the season if they want to make the tournament. Idalski didn't seem completely pleased with the win this afternoon in the presser.
  10. This weekend wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. As an avid follower of women's hockey, I thought UND would get dominated regardless. Saturday had a disappointing end because of the lapses in the last seven minutes of the game. Sunday was OK, but having the Lamoureux sisters take six penalties between the two of them does not help at all. I think UND has the ability to compete and it's going to be more exciting as the season goes on because I think they will get better. Minnesota is on a ridiculous unbeaten streak dating back to late last season and they're very talented. UND put as many goals on Raty this weekend as she allowed all season prior to playing to UND. Even when a team can break through the MN defense, they've got to get it past Raty, too.
  11. I haven't one clue how they decide. It's hard to even find any information about it.
  12. True that splits aren't going to cut it. However, they have a lot of loaded talent and I'm sure there are kinks that need to be worked out and I'm sure it doesn't help that Karvinen has been out. She's been a large part of the chemistry with the Lamoureux sisters in the past. It's critical that the team gets things worked out in the next few games because teams in the WCHA already have a very hard time making the tournament. There are too many great teams.
  13. Idalski said today that Karvinen will travel to Ohio for this weekend's series against Ohio State, but didn't say if she would play or not. She will be a big help if she's available this weekend. Ohio State is another quality team. They swept UMD last weekend.
  14. Karvinen is injured and will be reevaluated next week based on what Idalski said in the post-game presser.
  15. I believe this is a likely explanation.
  16. Ah! In my head it was red shirt first year, freshmen the first year they played. I fail.
  17. I think there are some issues with the roster in general. It says that Layla Marvin is a redshirt freshman and she redshirted last year. When I went back to last year's roster, it doesn't show her as a red shirt, it just says "freshmen." I'm not saying that's necessarily the reason for Molle not being on the roster, but I think there are some issues.
  18. Valid point about defense. Slavin was out last year and was the team's best defensive player. I believe they have Frozen Four potential this year.
  19. I think the team is underrated. Unless the team ends up being inconsistent like last year. Bring on the season and good luck to the ladies!
  20. Sometimes I can't help myself and you are a braver soul than I.
  21. Well if you'd stop tweeting gifs of Kristo celebrating with "U MAD?" on it... Wait, that was to Canadiens fans.
