We should not be banking the entire next season on the incoming class. If we are going to bank on anything it should be on returning players taking a step forward. That is what should always happen. Freshmen contribute at various degrees, are pretty inconsistent, and often take time to adjust. This year’s sophomore class as a whole has not taken a step forward, and that’s been a big part of the problem.

Percentages will continue to change. Omaha’s dropped by 20 percent after last weekend’s results. Put two more losses on them and that percentage will drop real quick. BC won zero non conference games this season, so if they don’t win Hockey East tourney, they might be pretty vulnerable to other results, more so than others.

He’s using BC as Hockey East’s automatic qualifier. He uses the regular season conference champ as the AQ. He says highest remaining seeds in the conference tourney , not pairwise ranking.

One year the NCHC aired the webcasts for free, but I think that was when they first started streaming games. I don’t believe they still do that.

Let’s be honest. It’s essentially the same suspects in the box. We have 4 guys with over 40 minutes in penalties.

There’s nothing you could say to convince the majority here that the power play doesn’t suck. It’s been a point of contention for a while. In my mind, if PP is above 20%, it’s sufficient enough for me.

I think they had chemistry in spurts all season. Someone just usually got injured and they had to switch things. The players on the top 2 lines right now have played the bulk of games with each other. How often did you see Gersich not with Gardner or Poganski? Or to a lesser extent Jones without either Mismash or Kawaguchi? Jones has played with a lot of different wingers, but I’d bet his current linemates are the ones he’s played with the most. Which is why the top 2 lines work.

Berry prefers forwards who play well defensively.
