Why are we assuming a) he’s going to be a first round draft pick and b) that he’d be here 1 year? I just don’t see him going first round... He may be on campus in the fall, or he may not. It’s still being decided.

I think Jimmy Schuldt is still undecided, according to the SC Times article I read. I’d guess he’ll be back though.

I’m just going to caution about placing unfair expectations on any freshman coming in, but in particular Weatherby. I thought everyone put unfair expectations on Kawaguchi and half this board was calling him a bust by Christmas. I actually heard Kawaguchi on a BCHL podcast yesterday and he characterized his start to the season as “bumpy.”

Or they probably put the guy who scored the most points among returning players on the graphic?

We do not play in Duluth the weekend my cousin is getting married there. So that is disappointing.

This is me rolling my eyes at some of the responses in here.

I think guys like Bowen and Hoff just need to try to stay healthy. Bowen missed 10 games, and Hoff, including time away for Olympics, missed 15. And who knows how healthy they actually were when they did play. I don’t generally expect much scoring from this class either, but collectively if they could improve production, that’d be ideal. Placing high expectations on a freshman class is asking for trouble.

Craig Button on TSN had JBD higher than Tychonick also. His rankings are more “off the board” than some of the other rankings you see out there though. I also think Johnson will be moved to forward.

He seems content with where he is at. Just because Ohio State is doing well now doesn’t mean it was the right place for him. He wasn’t enjoying his time there on or off ice, so he had to move on.

I’m cheering for Ohio State because Nick Jones hated it there so much that he left OSU and ended up at UND, and I’m thankful for that. Petty? Maybe. But options are slim and that reasoning is good enough for me.

Nobody should like DHG. I’m sure Tim is a great guy, but he seems defensive a lot of the time. He’s one of the Sioux fans always commenting on things on Twitter, so when he gets defensive, he’s gonna get called out. There’s probably 5 or so UND fans that are always commenting on tweets meant to rile up UND fans.

Yeah, but many of us hate UMD also. I’ve hated them and their stupid fans since the 2009 Final Five, and you couldn’t pay me to cheer for them. In fact, I’d rather stick pins in my eyes.

My SCSU buddy thinks any more departures from them would be surprising... sounds like Borgen and Eyssimont were expected.
