The only current players recruited by Berry off the top of my head are Nick Jones and Jordan Kawaguchi. Jost was also Berry recruit. It’s going to take a couple years before we see Berry’s recruits on campus. A lot of next year’s freshmen are also Hakstol recruits. Hakstol never won the big game, but he got the most out of his players, our 2014 and 2015 teams did not have a lot of high end skill, but they made the Frozen Four. I think in 2 years we’ll know if recruiting has tailed off.

It’s a fact that the coaching staff expected another year from Jost though. There was a backup plan but they still expected him to come back.

2016 was Hakstol’s players. The years following that season was going to be what to judge Berry on.

If we were playing well and losing I’d feel better. I haven’t lost hope - just feeling discouraged. But the garbage officiating this season is starting to wear on me. I already had to witness the Denver debacle - and that was enough for me...

Didn’t say no one else was inconsistent. I pointed out the freshmen because it coincides with Jost’s surprise departure. People expected a lot out of this freshmen class to help replace Jost’s production, but failed to realize how inconsistent most freshmen are.

Jost’s departure clearly caught them off guard. And the freshmen have been inconsistent as expected.

Okay I’m not crazy. I was thinking there was no way he is 100% back to his normal self.

I can’t be the only one who thinks Bowen hasn’t been the same player since he got back from his injury right? The slide off of the PK was initially attributed to his absence, but it’s been even worse since he got back. And Gardner’s injury makes things worse there too.

They lost 5 of 6 of their regularly playing d-men. If I’m UND I attack that inexperience right away.

I can maneuver this in our favor. We are 4-2 in our last 6 at Amsoil.

It won’t be Kawaguchi sitting. It’ll probably be Yon. I hope Peski is back. My concern with Gardner’s absence isn’t Jones replacing him on that top line, it’s who replaces Jones on the 2nd.

I assumed that’s why. This initial vote is basically every player nominated by the schools. Schools can nominate 3 players. That said this fan vote has virtually no bearing on who will be Hobey Finalists.

It wasn’t solely the tie that dropped them. It was that in combination with other results.

Once the line combo goes dry for a few games, they switch it. That’s what happened last year with Pogo, JJ and Hoff. This year they switch it when someone gets injured. With Gardner saying he’s out about 4 weeks, we’ll be switching lines again!

I agree. I wasn’t a big Guch fan at the start, but I think he’s coming around. Also agree on Mismash disappearing. All of this is why Guch is on the 2nd line and Mismash was on the 4th. I don’t think the consistency is there.
