  1. I think it’s bad in all sports. Surgery, long recovery period. (My cousin is an orthopedic surgeon so she does these surgeries a lot)
  2. That goes without saying these days...
  3. He really should stop tweeting during games because he’s clearly not paying full attention if he is. I saw today he posted a series recap blog on his station’s website that he rewatched the clip and was wrong on the Wolff hit and the correct call was made by the officials... Pretty sure he also lurks here. Know their TV guy does... super professional...
  4. A guy on Twitter said the game was only competitive because of the power plays we got. That we didn’t score on. And that showed how superior UMD is. I am confused.
  5. Have a good weekend vs Denver this weekend and this can be fixed.
  6. It was Jones. I specifically remember how angry I was. UMD fans can be mad about the refs all they want but they need to get it through their thick skulls that when you have a player that has a reputation for these kind of things, you’re not going to get the benefit of the doubt from officials when they have the discretion on the severity of the penalty.
  7. Their fans thought Bowen was out because he was scared of Wolff. Wolff has been ejected in each of the last three games against us.
  8. That writer is trash. His preview article was trash too. Could he at least try to be objective? The comments on Rieger (“actually a defenseman playing first game of the season at forward”), Bowen (“4th liner who was scratched for Saturday’s game”) and Weatherby (“1 goal, 1 assist”) were not at all necessary and there to display our “inferiority” to the Bulldogs.
  9. Yes, Scheel started all 5 games of the win streak, but then he started when we lost to Miami and then rotation started again. Which, for the record, I was not a fan of. Should’ve never gone back to a rotation.
  10. This is just how Berry rolls. Rotate until one guy stands out, roll him until he loses, then rotate again. I agree with you though.
  11. Hoff, Smith and Casey Johnson. Pretty sure a lot of this team is Hakstol recruits really though.
  12. Dixon doesn’t have a brother though
  13. I saw on Twitter that Harrison Blaisdell has signed his NLI. (Posted by the Chilliwack Chiefs)
  14. The power play has been streaky for many years, long before Shaw arrived. Even the national championship team had less than 20% conversion on the PP. At this point I’m more concerned about the penalty kill.
  15. He had 17 points last year and 21 the year before, which is still more productive than a lot of our upperclassmen forwards. Gardner’s career high for points in a season is 21 points for some perspective.
  16. They are listed on Schlossman’s blog. “Tentative” but I personally don’t see anything changing with them.
  17. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but UND already has a full 11 non-conference games scheduled next season...
  18. I think there’s also a perception we may have missed on Minnesota kids (and maybe we have) because a lot of us who post in here are familiar with these players and seen them play and have an opinion on them, whereas recruits coming from Canada and other places there’s less of a familiarity.
  19. I was just making observations - I’m not not trying to be one of the posters complaining about recruiting. I could care less where our players come from to be honest.
  20. Article in the Duluth paper made it sound like Dubuque wouldn’t accommodate the before and after for him. Are we even recruiting in Minnesota? Pipeline is completely dry of anyone from the Twin Cities. It seems we have a tendency to keep pulling from the same junior teams, which I think is lazy.
  21. Exactly. And I’d much rather the kid realize it before getting to campus. If you’re not all in, this isn’t the place for you.
