The CC/Omaha game is tied with the 3rd period left to play?

Last time we played him when he was still not 100 percent we lost to Omaha 5-4 in OT. Clearly we decided it was best not to try to do that again.

It’s actually 9-9. That guy didn’t count correctly lol. BU, DU 3x, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Western 2x, Omaha=9.

I thought maybe it’d be hard to squeeze him in, depending on when he was wanting to come to school. After next season we will have 3 defenseman recruits that we could bring in but won’t have anyone who’s eligibility runs out, and with no obvious flight risks. I don’t know if UND recruited him but for D they may be looking further out at this point. I’ll be interested to see what D we recruit in the upcoming class.

It’s not really a defensive defenseman award at this point. Denver has 2 guys as finalists, one of whom is also nominated for offensive defenseman. They should just get rid of the award if they aren’t going to actually award defensive play. No player has won it with less than 13 points. It’s basically an award for a typical 2- way defenseman.

Meaning he’s not going back to high school hockey. Will play junior hockey next year.

Baxter Arena apparently doesn’t set aside seats for the visiting team’s players who are not playing to sit in. Everytime they sat somewhere some late arriving UNO fans would show up to their seats and they would have to move.

Yeah I’m not sure either. Im hoping he can come back for the NCAAs but I don’t know how long he is on crutches for.

He sat by us on Saturday for a bit before he was forced to move seats for a 4th time. Still on crutches. Might be a bit yet before he’s back.

Someone posted a picture with Gaber’s dad at a gas pump a couple weeks ago. So it’s hardly restricted to just his mom. Probably the whole family at this point.

Your scenario could only happen if CC is a 3 seed and UNO is a 4 seed. currently both are 3 seeds.

I think Western could win their series as the road team. Just based on how SCSU has been playing. But then I thought SCSU wasn’t playing well at this time last year and then they won the Frozen Faceoff so…

It was definitely Western. … I think a lot of the decommits that happen are because of this exact situation where kids are given a deadline to commit.

Midco is down there broadcasting it for TV, but Omaha isn’t allowing them to stream it since they want to use their own stream.

I’m guessing since the SCSU/DU game is in St Cloud and starts at the same time as ours it will probably end around the same time. Last time in 2022 they did put the DU/Omaha game on the screen after our game ended in case the result ended in our favor though.

I was just going to say this. I really don’t think there’s much of a chance he comes in 2025. The last time we brought in a true freshman at goalie it didn’t work out and it’s just pretty rare. I just find it to be a bad idea in general. I’m pretty sure we’ve gotta be looking for a guy to fill a spot until Heil is ready.

Berg committed to Omaha super early if I recall. I believe he was playing in the Omaha Lancers AAA program at the time so he was already in proximity to UNO. Probably could have gotten on UND’s radar if he waited a bit longer back then.
