  1. ...that aren't defensive liabilities. Or they could just keep doing what they are doing....
  2. Just saw this. Agree that it varies and you do have to be careful not to push yourself too hard. I haven't personally had it, but I've seen cases with athletes missing a couple weeks to a whole season. One of my cross country teammates in high school was never the same after contracting mono. (He actually got it twice in one year. Poor guy). Depending how it affects you, you could go from star athlete to depth guy when you eventually make it back.
  3. The voters forgot who they voted for over the long Christmas layoff...
  4. I thought OD was good in the 2nd half last season also.
  5. I saw them play live vs Merrimack and as soon as they went down 3-1 I said game was over. They don't have that resiliency, fight in them. They could make the tournament but until there's something in their play that signals something has changed I'm not sure they'd be all that tough of an out either. No compete, terrible defensive awareness and a goalie lacking confidence. So many problems.
  6. Minnesota has problems a soft schedule won't solve.
  7. Considering how tough the conference is this year, I think the schedule as a whole balances out alright.
  8. I'm not sure the plan is for Poolman to be at forward, but when a couple of our forwards that could normally slot into that spot have been quiet lately, it seems like the best temporary solution. I like the way OD and Gaarder play together. Thought the same thing last year. Has anyone heard what St Clair's injury is and the severity of it? It's not as completely obvious and blatant like Stecher's absence, but his absence is starting to become more noticeable for me as well.
  9. What year does he graduate high school?!?!?!?!?
  10. It's hilarious that you're coming in here telling us to take a loss like a man when you couldn't take the win like a man and show some sportsmanship either. Take the high road for a change instead of being the hypocritical d-bag spouting off about class and etc. when you have never demonstrated you have any. But this is nothing new here. Everyone here already knew you were both a sore winner and a sore loser. That's out there for the whole world to see. Congrats.
  11. There's no doubt?!?!? ...and those two teams would be?!?!? Because I see 6 average to below average teams at this point.
  12. Each school can nominate 3 players. UND has chosen to just nominate 1 player. Simple explanation.
  13. Thought I'd chime on on this: Those butt hurt fans crack me up. UND is number one because they've been the most consistent team among those that were highly ranked since the start of the season. UND is the only team that has been ranked in the top 5 all season long by the polls. People want to take the pairwise into consideration with the polls and it's like, that's not the point of the polls. The polls want to know who the voters think is the best team in the country, not who is the best team that has played the toughest schedule in the toughest conference, etc. The polls are an opinion ranking and the Pairwise is a statistical ranking. By the end of the season the two will start to look a bit more similar. Right now it's just a crap shoot. That's why people say the polls don't matter. (But yet a lot of those people are the same ones getting mad about the polls) Harvard ( ) (I only like being ranked #1 because I can go into work in Minneapolis and don't even get chirped anymore. It's so peaceful!)
  14. ARE YOU TELLING ME I MISSED PRACTICALLY THE ENTIRE BADMINTON SEASON??
  15. The last few years they haven't announced any until the summer, and have only announced the ones in the upcoming freshman class. There's typically a couple that sign a year early (Poolman signed a year early then his arrival, Chris Wilkie signed last year, etc). (Now watch, tomorrow they announce them. Heh)
  16. Generally I'm not sure if how we played will have much of an impact on the decision, based on some previous commitments we've gotten and the games they attended. I think as long as the atmosphere is good, the outcome doesn't matter as much. JMO, though.
  17. Mariucci is awful. Absolutely awful. This includes the atmosphere. The concourses are not wide enough, if they are crowded during an intermission, good luck getting back to your seat in time for the next period. They cater to corporates way too much. That's why when you try to buy single game tickets you're stuck with standing room only or a single seat. Their student section. When UND plays there, they know like a handful of chants they repeat the same ones over and over again. All of which they copied from Wisconsin.
  18. Gersich signed his also. The Omaha Lancers twitter account tweeted a group shot of their players that signed. And Wilkie signed last year. I like how next year's class is looking at this point.
  19. Since the amount of games Clarke played wasn't my point I didn't look it up. I only remembered the Denver games. My point was "indefinite" basically means an unknown period of time.
  20. Pretty much. It could be a couple games, couple weeks, couple months... Last year when Zane got hurt and was out indefinitely he missed what, 2 games (because of a bye week)? It's just the term they use so they don't have to specify a time frame.
  21. If that's your idea of domination you're in a bit of trouble...
  22. I'm glad you have finally let us know how you feel.
  23. Wasn't that Gregoire and Frattin on the same night?
