Are you sure on the NIT ? Regular season champs that don't make the NC$$ tournament get an auto-bid but how do they handle it if there are co-champs ? Do both teams get auto-bids or only one. If only one then do they have to take the #1 seed or can they take whomever they think will draw the biggest crowds or some other subjective reason ? Remember, this is the NC$$ we are talking about.

Of the returning players who has improved from last year ? Gersich for sure. After him it is difficult to come up with a name. I suppose Gornall but that doesn't help much given his playing time. With all the losses from last years team it would be impossible for this years team to be very good unless a number of returning players stepped it up. They didn't and it shows.

UND has won 9 of the past 22 games. Let that sink in for a minute. There is no way to spin that, they are not a very good team right now. The effort is sporadic and some of the skill players are invisible. When you add in all the defensive mistakes this team makes you can see why they cannot win consistently. They probably need to win 6 of the last 8 games, hard to see how they are going to do this given that they only won 9 of 22. Where is the team that played Union ? Playing without Jost and Boeser they were fast, aggressive, and took the body. Wish they could find the team that showed up that night.

There was easily 8000 Sioux fans, probably closer to 9000. Walking the concourse it looked like a home game at the Ralph. The only way there were fewer than 8000 Sioux fans was if some BC fans decided to wear Sioux jerseys.

The fact that there is a way to vote multiple times invalidates all results from the fan votes. They need to come up with a better way to only allow one vote per person per day.
