    It’s not a big deal…I guess if it was the case in 2016 it worked fine…just think too many cooks in the kitchen can spoil a good meal.

    Well…in reality… Spicer (at age 17 as a high school senior) had 7 points (2 goals 5 assists) in 13 games vs D1 college teams this year - pretty good college teams at that. USNDT record was 8-5 vs those pretty good college teams as well (including a shutout against our favorite team). Spicer’s PPG average against D1 college teams this year was .54 which was better than 10 of the forwards we have returning...only 3 had better than .54 PPG; Gaber, Schmaltz, and Costantino...so there’s that

    Quinn and Hastings were the assistant coaches in the 2005 World Jrs in GF (Sandelin head coach). They both got along very well and there was a lot of respect between them.

    I call BS...they did a couple outdoor games in West Fargo yes between the have nots in ND...the MN HS tourney and SD HS tourney was not their production, they just aired the feed. Not once during their weekly magazine shows did they mention ND HS hockey and no tweets either about ND high school hockey ever...it was HS football and basketball or it was nothing.

    Midco is all about high school football/basketball only, they could care less about hockey unless it is UND which really butters their bread. Ditto for high school baseball/softball…they don’t care. Half the problem is there is no publicity machine or engine for ND high school hockey. There is no central organization pulling in the same direction. No one has taken the reins to promote the sport. There is no Youth Hockey Hub or Hockey Talk or any chatter at all promoting Prep hockey in ND like there is in MN.

    Looking for a great place to go before the games in Omaha? Check out The Lemon Drop Lounge. Great Dive Bar! Food is great, prices are really great, and the people are fantastic! Stumbled upon this place on a youth hockey trip. It is located in an old corner store grocery not too far from Baxter Arena. The folks are mostly first responders (police, fire, emergency, etc). So friendly and what a fun group! $1 Busch Lights on Friday afternoon and get the lemon drop shot...so good!     I see the Fargo media machine will be back to not giving a sh*t about high school hockey again now that GF won another title…crickets on Twitter from them. Falling all over themselves when it appeared GF was doomed…won’t hear much about it now going forward. GF is now 4 for last 4 in the last 4 state championships held in Fargo so I guess that dispels the theory that GF won’t win when tourney isn’t in GF!

    Don’t call it boarding then…because it wasn’t boarding…both kids initiated the contact and the bigger/stronger kid won that battle. Don’t call anything. Nothing like officials asserting themselves in the final period of games the last 2 nights.

    Interesting to see how these kids did with team ND in the Fall. Most of these games were against MN elite league competition. Nenow is the real deal…

    Scaled back?…I wonder why and what was scaled back. Tax incentives weren’t scaled back I’m sure. Always perks my ears when I hear scaled back; never a good indicator.

    What’s the point of a $6 million scoreboard if you rarely show a replay on it? Less Simba and kisses and more replays please!

    No…just reduced 3 lanes to 2 so there is enough room to get through now!

    So far it is C, A, G …3rd street opened today; Harry’s opens tomorrow. B could be next…Hugo’s told the apartment renters upstairs there is no more parking in the Hugo’s lot starting Monday.

    Agreed…exactly who is this benefitting? I’m talking specifically Saturday Oct 2nd and not every scheduled Saturday on the hockey calendar. You could make an exception for this one day.

    Curious to see how the local bars manage the bus to hockey…could be impossible to get from Alerus to establishment to ride bus to hockey that leaves at 6:15. In addition, how many bars are having a bus to both football and hockey…what are the logistics of that?
