  1. No Sweat, I just don't know how we can judge this thing on a message board, it really depends on who takes charge in practice and on Friday and Saturday night. I really like Marc that is all. I like all the Sioux players and all the Sioux fans. I just want em to win the title. I hate when the golden gophers win it. Good luck to all the Sioux Players and especially the goalies. I know Ziegleman must be good and he won a championship last year at Lincoln so he knows how to win. Jordan had a real good year in Waterloo and maybe he'll be the guy. But I don't want Marc to be thrown o out as he is a good kid.
  2. Way to go Marc! Let's Go Sioux!!!!
  3. I am sorry but on that Saturday night in Denver. Marc played as well as the Denver goalie who in a thread like this at this time last year he would be the leader much like the UMD goalie is today. I really hope Marc gets the opportunity to finish his career in a Sioux Jersey
  4. I am not related but I have spent a lot of time with Marc on and off the ice.. Who are you? I think that is the best question? I really don't think you know anything about the subject!

    Top 16 coaches

Dean is #1 in my mind!!!! Thanks for everything Coach! I hope you and the guys have a great season.
  6. I wasn't joking! I thought he played great at Denver vs their very good goalie.. I thought he played great against CC at the Ralph. How many walk on goalies have ever played for the Sioux. How many have two shutouts? What is Marc's save percentage? Marc never quit he had a lot of chances to quit. Heck I was told by the owner of the Rochester Mustangs that he would never play college hockey. I want to thank coach Blais for giving him the chance to play at this level. I hope he gets the chance to keep working. I hope they keep him around in case the veteran Brandt struggles. I hope Jake does well but I know Marc was much better in USHL than Brandt. I also know that Ziegleman is darn good and Parise is a great competitor. I have always said you only have one goalie or you don't have any. But the Wild sure shot a hole in that theory last season. I really like Marc for the fact that he never gave in when all the odds were against him. I also wish he could be the guy this year. Those two goals on Friday vs Denver were tough. But I have seen Patrick let bad ones in. I think if he got the job he would take over. That is my biased opinion. The freshman can wait! What evidence is there that Brandt can be the guy. I remember a guy named O'Leary getting cut. He was a walk-on also. I think you need those guys that play there butts off every game. That is my silly opinion. I think it adds character to your team. It also makes the scholarship guys come to work. They have to see how much some guys love the game. I hope coach Blais keeps Marc around just in case the Sioux need him!
  7. I've always liked Marc Ranfranz, He probably is the best goalie returning.
  8. Way to go Kevin Good Luck Here is an article on Kevin signing with SC Stingrays... My Webpage Also on USCHO there is a link with some nice pictures of Kevin at Red Wings Camp.Free Agent Tryout Watch Spiewak plays well, displaying speed and penalty killing savvy ... Kevin Spiewak at Red Wings Camp by Sarah Lindenau September 7, 2003 With seven free agent tryouts on their prospect tournament roster, the Detroit Red Wings are keeping a close eye on which players have pro potential. Red Wings Central is also monitoring the organization's top contract hopefuls, and will post daily updates on which prospects lead the way. The three front-runners after Friday's games are (in order): [1] Carsen Germyn: Despite being held off the scoresheet, Germyn threw his weight around and had good scoring opportunities in the overtime period. However, he took a bad holding penalty late in the third period. [2] Bobby Chaumont: Assisting on Matt Ellis's goal for his first point of the tournament, Chaumont displayed good offensive skill. Sooner or later, he needs to chip in with a goal. [3] Kevin Spiewak: The 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward had several good scoring attempts and picked up an assist on Darryl Bootland's goal. Spiewak is a speedy skater, and he did an excellent job killing key penalties in the third period.
  9. I think Ranfranz can do the job!
  10. I wonder if the Sioux are going to recruit Zach Bearson. He is Jason Notermann's cousin. He recently was a member of the US under 17 team that won the 5 nations tourney in Slovakia. Zach had 1 goal and 3 assists and led the tourney with 18 minutes in penalties... He will be playing for the Waterloo Blackhawks this season. I would love another reason to go to Grand Forks and watch the Sioux!
  11. Herb did so much for Development. He and Ted Brill both dead this year is a great loss for MN Hockey. Herb was a great man and will be missed. My prayers and sympathy goes out to his family. JCN
  12. Yes, haven't seen anything on Devils site or NHL transactions Where did you see official news
  13. Jason Notermann's 15 year old cousin Zach Bearson scored a gwg for Team Illinois in OT and also had a good tourney with 2 goals and 4 assists and he is eligible for two more years.. Way to go Zach. He is about 6'2" Team Illinois won the MAC tourney in Canada this year.. Also they only lost to Shattuck 5-4 in the finals yesterday. Maybe the Sioux can take a look at him for the future too!.. He was on the 15 selects too! jcn Way to go Zach!!!
  14. I love when they show the video with all the National championships that is the greatest.....
  15. Yes, I have reviewed that disallowed goal and it was in before the whistle blew. What was the official call. The puck actually went in the back when Kevin and Jason shoved at it after Zach shot it. Clearly in before you hear whistle. What was the call?
  16. I think the Sioux will show the rest of the WCHA's finest who is who this weekend. Let's Go Sioux Let's make a statement. No Sioux on the 1st Team?? Parise got Screwed. I can't believe a good Minnesota kid got screwed by the WCHA right here in St. Paul. I remember the Badgers got all the accolades one year and a couple of em had to crawl off the ice on the first shift. The Sioux won the Broadmoor and the National Title and the Badgers lost two straight and disapeared. I think this team can do that Let's Go!!!!
  17. We are hoping to get a couple of tables and a booth or two at Tom Reids at about 4:00 PM on Thursday or a little after. The Notermann's, Schnieders, Novak's, Hlas's Let's Go Sioux!!! if you get there before us save us about 4 tables and booths behind the bar in the tv room there. Let's kick some Bulldog's
  18. Anderson reffed at Denver the younger one. Derek will do fine. Let's not get on the ref until they screw up... I think Derek calls the holding and clutching and grabbing.. That will suit us fine.
