  1. Yes, I watched him play vs Lincoln at Cedar Rapids this fall. He may rejoin the Gamblers this spring..
  2. Also, So MN guys on Holy Angels, Kevin Huck and Jimmy Kilpatrick are having great games this afternoon. I have not had the pleasure to coach these two but did have their older brothers.. Moorhead just scored to make it 5-2... 3 minutes to go....
  3. Liembek is correct spelling. I think he was the best player I have ever coached. Woog once said he didn't play good defense. At the time Matt was a + 5 and the only plus player on the Gophers in his sophmore year. Matt needed to be in a program where he would get a chance to make the kind of plays he could make. That game he got his pocket picked by Mark Cullen and Moorhead scored to go ahead late in the third. I was sitting with Matt's dad and said Watch this now! Let's see what your kid can do. He proceeded to get the puck over the Moorhead blueline do the spinorama and slide the puck to Tony Grosso who tied the score. It was amazing. I wish he would have went to Green Bay and maybe ended up at St. Cloud or North Dakota cause he would still be playing regardless of the mindless Hammy's position.. Matt Liembek was amazing... Jason did score two goals in that game but the real story of that game was a goalie named Marc Ranfranz who was outstanding... Jason hit the post in the final seconds of regulation and another player hit the post in OT. I hope Marc has a playoff game like in the near future. Let's Go Sioux!!! Let's Go Sioux!!!
  4. Brandon is a junior and needs a year or maybe even two to be a top WCHA player. I understand he is set to go to Sioux Falls. I am sure he will do well there and be a top player for some WCHA school. I hope he stays west as he is an excellent student too! Also, I think it would be great if some USHL teams would extend a tender to the Brunkhorst boy as he would really be a player in two years if he can get the chance to develop. I think he has a big chance to be a very good college and proffessional player with his strength and skating and soft hands... Oh yeah he ran over about 5 guys last night too!!!
  5. Here are some guys from our area that I have coached and are good prospects Brandon Harrington, Rochester Lourdes John Brunkhorst, Rochester Lourdes getting better every day. Josh Duncan, Rochester Lourdes Nick Forliti, Rochester Lourdes smart son of one of Mankato States all time leading scorers.. A.J. Smith, Rochester Lourdes cousin of Michigan Tech Dman Clay Wilson, Is really improving and working hard came in from Des Moines and is getting better every day... I know CC is looking at these guys... I also know Brandon Harrington would love to come to North Dakota. I think Brunkhorst has a real high upside.. Duncan has great balance and is a steady dman Also couple I like on Lakeville, Wong, Davis, Clemmens... I would Hope the Sioux would watch these guys. Brunkhorst is big fast and has soft hands for a big guy. Great goal last night to beat Hibbing... Made several other strong plays to the net. Also set up Forliti early in first period short-handed that Nick didn't quite put away.
  6. Thanks PCM You have been a great fan from the start to finish. We really appreciate the photos and hope we make a trip east again and get some more... The Notermann's
  7. Our boys need your help this weekend. Let's make the Ralph Rock so we can get home playoff games at the Ralph for the weekend March 14 and 16. The guys need you behind them no matter what happens. If it goes bad at first just bring on the Let's Go Sioux!!! Let's Go Sioux!!!! Just like in Providence and Albany. I think the Sioux fans are the best fans in college hockey let's make sure the boys know it and you make them feel the love. This team can still do it let's bring the New Ralph down on Sandy and his BullDogs... I know you fans can bring a big effort I am sure the boys will too!

    Swept again

Can the Sioux mature this next couple weekends and have someone step up and make the one play or two plays we need to win. Each of the last 3 one goal losses could have been wins. What it takes is for someone to just believe and shoot the puck in the net. I think we have the talent it is time to loosen the collars and let the puck fly at the net. We need two or three ugly goals a game the next two weekends to get on track. Good luck guys. I still believe we can do the whole deal this year. Let's Go Sioux!!!
  9. It is on Charter Cable #14 in So MN it is being televised in our area
  10. Speez, Kevin was awesome last night. I hope the Sioux bring it tonight and get some momentum for the trip to Mankato. Hope Karen and you can come to the games at Mankato. Kevin is on fire....... jcn
  11. I voted and voted for Jeff Panzer and he didn't win. They gave it to a Sophmore Goalie from Michigan State. At the time I thought it was wrong I think it is not good to give the hobey to such a one or two year contributor vs a 3 or 4 year player as the young player's body of work has not passed the test of time time. Also, Zach Parise is a great player. I mean no offense to him, I think this award should be for a player who did the whole deal played all four years or at least three years and contributed each year to college hockey. This is just my opinion. Go Spiewak!! Go Senja!! Go Priessing!! these guys have done it for 3 or 4 years.. I would like it to be an award for a senior. Again just my opinion for what it is worth...
  12. By the way no Sioux is going to win the Hobey so let's just get after the WCHA playoffs and the NCAA's. I think team goals are more important than individual honors anyways.. I think Kevin Spiewak has been one of the great players in College Hockey the past four seasons. Looking forward to him scoring some big goals in Denver this weekend.
  13. I've been voting for Notermann, Spiewak and Bochenski... Parise once in awhile.. He will have to do more than have a good freshman year to be the Hobey Baker winner... I think Spiewak Notermann Bochenski have consistantly done the job year in and year out... Zach is great but it is hard for me to vote for a freshman for Hobey.
  14. Where was Roche? I thought he was going to play also. Karl was great in net stopping more than 20 shots in his period of action. Team Canada dominated the third. Karl was unbelievable. Way to Go Karl.. MVP Sim said Man that goalie was great. Announcers were saying over and over what a period by Karl. Let's Go Sioux Let's run the table and see how close we get to first place CC...
  15. Way to go Karl!! Who made the trip to CC?
  16. Siouxbear, We are coming along with Denise's Sister Sally and her girlfriend. I think Schneider's, Greene's and Spiewak's are coming too!
  17. WCHA Final Team GP Pts UND 28 45 CC 28 43 UMN 28 39 SCSU 28 33 Denver 28 33 Mankato 28 29 UMD 28 25 MTech 28 13 UW 28 11 AA 28 9
  18. Coach Blais gave him the honor when Ryan was out with his shoulder. I guess he has been playing well and doing whatever they ask him so coach Blais surprised him at the pregame meal before Canisius game. I guess he told the guys that he has done everything they want and that he wanted to give him the honor to be captain for the Sioux. Wow this year is really fun. I couldn't believe that comeback I had a tear on my cheek when we came back to tie on Saturday night. Way to go Sioux!!! We are thrilled. We asked Jason's and Marc's Bantam coach to the game on Saturday and Marc R got in and took charge and Jason played hard and well and the whole team was great and Saturday night Spiewak scored and David Hale and "Magic Bochenski Scored" And Lundbohm Scored and we got the job done against all odds. Coach Fish is now the HS coach at Owatonna. He also coached Canzanello and Stuart on the CC Tigers and they both played well too! He had a great time and really loved the fans at Engelstad. It was a great weekend. I am so proud of these guys but we have the toughest part yet to go. I think the guys are ready and getting better ever day. Mason and Parise are doing alot of scoring. What about Fyliing, Connelly, and Mason line this weekend. Prpch,Canady, Genoway line too. We have the team to do the job. Let's get it done. E very S ioux P layer N eeds 2 two Rings Rings... Jason only has one and we got close one other time. Only this year left. I think this team can do it. Go Sioux!!!! Go Sioux Smoke the Gophers!!!!!!!!!! It has been unbelievable to have a son play on the Sioux.
  19. I like Jeff and think he does a great job! Way to go Jeff. "Way to Go RANNY" Let's smoke the ground squirrels.......!
  20. Any pass or shot that goes in the offensive zone and is on goal is blown dead immediately. No goal can be scored on a play that starts offside. Touch up is for continuos play but goals cannot be scored on an offside play. Is that clear.
  21. they are all my favorites but how could you not put my son on your list. Jason Notermann is playing his butt off how can he not get on this list? Just kidding! Maybe you only have a number of spaces. I think we should get behind the whole group as a good team is when a new hero is found whenever needed. Go Mike Prpch!!!! Rory McMahon is awesome..
  22. PCM, That is Jason Notermann in unidentified photo with Josh Siembida. Great photo's as usual... I hope the Sioux are ready to get after the Huskies this weekend. Let's Go Sioux!!!!
  23. Thanks Pat I have quite a library of your good work. Much appreciated the Notermann's. Let's get one of Jason scoring vs the Mavericks this weekend.... I hope u get more than one chance to catch that!
  24. Here is some more info about Karl's play this season. http://www.bluejackets.com/team/affiliates...rts/1202.0.html Syracuse AHL Website
