When did private schools in MN have their own hockey tournament? In ND, Dickinson Trinity dropped to Class B about 15 years ago. In a sport where a school might make the state boys basketball tournament once every 20 years, Trinity has now made something like 9 of the last 13 state tournament appearances. I hate that school with a passion.

If you think Bemidji puked that game away last night, it's only because the official decided to stick his finger down their collective throats with about 6:00 in the game. The penalty call directly affected the outcome. I saw very few stretches where Minnesota actually controlled the play and tempo. BTW...9 of Bjugstad's 19 goals are on the PP. I think Bemidji gives Goldy another tough game tonight.

That's becoming a regular habit resulting in Gopher goals...it happened last week as well on Saturday night against Denver.

I've watched this entire game and all I see is quality hockey out of Bemidji State. Those folks on here screaming about how embarrassing the Sioux playing to a tie against the Beavers was really have me puzzled.

I'm sorry, I get confused as to whether it's Minnesota State University COMMA Mankato or Minnesota State University HYPHEN Mankato, so I just go old-school Mankato State. I don't think the conference swap would happen immediately...I'm talking 5-10 years from now. Just a hunch...

I would think adding stars would be the only way to go. I bet within five years, the teams that rise to the top of the new WCHA will be looking at heading to the NCHC. My money is on Mankato State and Ferris State.
