  1. YaneA has been making fun of me all day over this...but I think it's a definite improvement on the actual logo. Nice work! Here's a quick thought...2 stars on top to represent Miami and Western Michigan (CCHA) and 6 stars on the bottom to represent the former WCHA schools...
  2. Fixed your post for ya.
  3. That's an awfully poor attempt at being funny...
  4. That's an amusing comment considering that for the better part of the last five years, Minnesota's 'Pride on Ice' has been known as Minnesota's 'Pride on the Golf Course' long before April has even rolled around...
  5. Hey southpaw, nice work. Can you tweak it a bit by lowering the banner a bit and putting a few stars on top of it? I'm curious what that would look like.
  6. Easy. Not all of those Twin Citians (including me) are Gopher fans. Where are the bouncy-ball fans today? I was chastised after the Indiana game...nice follow-up last night, Goldy.
  7. Which is EXACTLY why they should be playing AA right now. The 'little school' argument doesn't carry any weight when you consistently play the heavy hitters of AA, then wuss out come playoff time.
  8. Red white and blue? That looks like crimson, vintage white, and navy to me.
  9. I didn't hear any complaints over Benilde winning the AA tournament last year... Kudos to Roseau for playing AA year after year, state tournament or no state tournament.
  10. I saw the stick. That's obvious. The banner is a bit too high on the shield. The top of the shield is barely visible and nothing there balances out the 8 stars on the bottom part.
  11. LOL...I noticed that right away so my eyesight must be ok. Then again, it was about 1995 when I realized that the old Milwaukee Brewers logo wasn't just a ball in a glove...
  12. I didn't notice them at all until you mentioned it! Of course...they're pretty obvious. I'm not a fan...too much clutter...and I hope it's not a 4-6" patch on every team's jersey. Yikes.
  13. Groan...a 3rd place game. Yay.
  14. You are absolutely correct on the attendance of the new tournaments starting next year. None will duplicate what we have seen since 2001 and the Xcel Energy Center. But you can't blame the X for trying to put butts in its seats, can you? They're hardly at fault.
  15. Fixed your post. I'm pretty sure that the X has no idea when they send the renewal form out every year as to whether I'm a Sioux fan, Gopher fan, Badger fan, etc. I'm a name in a database that says I've had the same seats at the X for 12 years...therefore, I'm a potential customer when the Big 10 Tournament comes to the X...and for that matter, when the WCHA tournament comes back as well.
  16. The WCHA works in partnership with the Xcel Energy Center. Why wouldn't the WCHA want to try to get Big 10 fans to come to their tournament the years the Big 10 is in Detroit?
  17. Niagara is a good example...I think the CCHA may house another one.
  18. Or driving from St Paul to Bloomington after the '89 loss to Harvard?
  19. LOL...so the stick or elbow to the face (shown on ONE replay) wasn't enough for you to think that MAYBE a penalty should have been called?
  20. I was at Yost in 1998 for the "upset" at the hands of Michigan and its 6,000+ fans. What a total bummer that was.
  21. Close, but you missed the part though where Parenteau pushed him over so hard that the back of Knowlton's head smacked against the ice. The puck was long-gone when the hit happened.
  22. It's a bar-restaurant...don't be deceived by the name - the Hoggsbreath is a great place to bring the wife and kids for lunch.
  23. Yea, I've seen plenty of those things in Grand Forks as well. Mariucci isn't immune from them either as I saw a guy in cut-off jeans on TV during Saturday night's game. Good times. Hey bale (pun intended), you know Mankato fans are invited to the SiouxSports.com brunch too, right? You don't need to be a Sioux fan to attend. Granted, it helps, but you're welcome to come join us.
  24. I am in the vicinity, yes, but alas, I can't skate worth a damn. If you ever get a broomball game going though, I'm your guy! scpa, I just noticed you voted Saturday for the brunch...would you be able to make Friday if I went with that day? That's going to be the likely winner.
