  1. Yes, it's been a little sparse some years but the last 2-3 have had 15-30 people attending. The Hogg knows we are coming...I think I've set this up for 6-7 years now.
  2. LOL...Gopher fans singing 'nah nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye' song to Denver. Apparently a home split might be reason for students to rush the ice in about 30 seconds...
  3. The Hoggsbreath is a 5-7 minute ride north of St Paul on 35E, then exit west-bound Highway 36. Your first exit will be Rice Street...take a right there and go one mile north. Easy on, easy off, easy to find.
  4. A trio of 'Three Amigos' costumes is infinitely more amusing...
  5. I'm inclined to lean Friday myself...and I agree on the Friday brunch right before the 2pm semi-final being a good call. It worked out well last year and helps out the out-of-town folks taking in the Saturday afternoon Wild game. I just want to make sure some long-time brunch attendees can make it before making the final call. Plus a lot depends yet on when UND will play...
  6. Minnesota has worn those before...Can't recall when but I have seen them at least once and probably more often than that. Did you see Michigan's yellow jersey last night against Ferris State? Yuck.
  7. Some kick-a** door-prizes are in the works for this one. You won't want to miss this Hoggsbreath brunch!
  8. I'm as bald as a cue ball, GFG...is that a shot at me?
  9. LOL...actually, that's GFG in the picture.
  10. Actually, this is the NON-UND Hockey thread...
  11. "Awww...Sioux fans miss ME?"
  12. It is helpful to know if people could make either day. Thank you.
  13. Most projections don't account for any upsets in the small-conference tournaments which upset the apple cart. The lower-level seeds from big conferences are the ones who wind up getting left out of the dance when those happen. Back to college hockey...what are the odds of Michigan State deciding they made a major mistake this year and replacing the former CCHA commissioner after one year?
  14. At 11:00 am, you can have either breakfast OR lunch! It's a win-win! Besides, my Sioux throwback jerseys are all getting numbers sewn on them as we speak. Odds are good that I will be spilling maple syrup on one wearing one at the Hoggsbreath regardless of whether we're there on Friday or Saturday morning.
  15. The difference is that EVERYONE in St Paul knows when the Final Five is in town. In Minneapolis, half of the people you run into won't have any idea what all the hockey jerseys are doing around town, ESPECIALLY when the Gophers aren't playing there.
  16. 5 votes for Friday and 5 for Saturday...let's see some more attendees. I'm working on door prizes again this year but no guarantees. I will also talk to Tom and Jossie about having something Sioux-related put on the marquee out front!
  17. I warned everyone about Target Center a long time ago...
  18. REALLY? BEFORE last night's game as well? The Gophers have 4 wins in their last 12 games! http://aol.sportingn...-score-big-wins
  19. OUR team? How many points did YOU score? The win last night won't get Minnesota in the NCAA's. That 71-45 blow-out at the hands of Ohio State counts too.
  20. ...and the fund-raising begins in Madison for the million bucks to buy out Eaves...yikes.
  21. Witty stuff. I know some Sioux fans are annoyed by Gopher fans on the board but I find most of your comments aren't bad at all. Humor on the board...+1. Back on topic, Wisconsin fans aren't sold on Eaves and many are frustrated with next year's schedule including non-Friday and Saturday games. Can't say I blame them...
  22. Back on topic, the actions of the students certainly call for consequences. It will be interesting to see what RRHS comes up with.
  23. Hey, Oxbow6, someone else is paying our bills so why should we care, right?
  24. Ummm....the prisoners in Gitmo aren't United States citizens, passit. That presents a bit of a problem since they're not given rights granted by our Constitution. Somebody has to be responsible and pay for the bills...but the Republicans are at fault for trying to cap spending? I don't know how you pay YOUR bills, passit, but I don't pay mine by just raising my own debt ceiling every few months.
