I laughed out loud when I saw that gif...lighten up a little bit.

She and Grandpa D moved to Dickinson in 1982 to be closer to my mom. They never lost that thick east coast accent either. Two of a kind, those two... Folks around town would hear that accent and constantly ask if A) they were in the mafia or B) if any of their relatives were in the mafia. The answer to A is "no." The answer to B is "fuggedddabouddddit."

Stopped in at Scheel's in Fargo on the way back from Nana D's funeral in Dickinson...didn't buy a thing. Saw this actual hat and it's even worse in person. The "bubble" N and D look ridiculous with the hawk inserted in between in obviously not the same type of embroidery. The N and the D look like random green splotches and the black "gap" between the hawk and the D is magnified by the flat vs bubble embroidery. Didn't see a single shirt, hat, sweatshirt, or anything that caught my eye. And unless I missed something, I didn't see any hockey jerseys anywhere, save for the McDavid North America jersey for the WCOH. Yuck on that too, BTW.

Fetch, I'm gonna agree with you on that - this small fix-it makes the logo more visible, it certainly becomes obvious that it's an N and a D.

Way too busy for the helmet, but shrunk down even more and put in front of the neck under the collar and squished above the numbers? The logo would have been better left off entirely.

Stopped in Fargo en route back home last night...can't say it's very often that I stop at Scheel's and purchase NOTHING. I looked thru the teeny tiny section of Fighting Hawks stuff and honestly, some of the pictures of hats that showed up here are even WORSE in person. I realize it's Fargo and it's Bison territory, but given the size of the NDSU section compared to the UND section, I'd have thought UND was Mayville State. Unless I missed some hockey-only stuff somewhere else...

Well, seriously, it's a valid point. Plenty of fans here mocked Minnesota's move to the B10 to play with college hockey dregs of society Ohio State and Penn State, yet they're all-in on Arizona State joining the NCHC since it's a large Pac-12 school. Can't have it both ways, sorry.

I think a better question would be "what section do the St Cloud State fans sit in?"

The process of refunding the application fee is already in the works. I, for one, am happy that this wasn't an automatic "yes" vote just because some Fighting Hawks fans think a winter weekend flight to sunny Arizona is a good enough reason to have the Sun Devils in the NCHC.
