Holy crap!! With the way this thread went I would have thought it was 2013 all over again. Injuries suck we all know that but how can our team have half their players injured through just 5 weeks, not even half the season is gone. I think Bubba needs to tell us what went wrong so far BESIDES injuries. Are players not stepping up? Was their bad recruiting? Too much hype after last year? This season is all about the question mark and a lot of them. Blowouts 3 weeks in a row is horrible, so something needs to be fixed and fast or this season could damage the progress of this program. Bubba did a great job getting the sunken ship above water and on course, now we hit an iceberg and it’s starting to sink. If this (getting blown out) becomes a trend future recruits are going to bypass us and play somewhere else. After this season there is no autobid into the playoffs for the next 2 seasons, we can only rely on an at large bid. That 8 wins is gonna be tough when you have no conference title as a safety net to getting into the playoffs. So come November Bubba and Brian Faison better come up with a solution to get back on track even if it means switching things up in coaching (not Bubba but below him).

West Fargo is buying water, and garbage and soon sewage usage from Fargo. Fargo finally got with the times and started a major recycling program (we all have big garbage cans for that) this summer. I think it will help the landfill. New big sewage pipes are being used in the city that can be connected with WF, they haven't agreed yet to use it. And WF is using Fargo water since we have upgraded our water treatment plant. I see your point we do need to think of the water future with population in the metro at est. 209,177 (2014). What if water levels drop in the Red and Sheyenne due to drought? It was pretty dry down here but not like how dry it got west of Bismarck. Maybe strict water restrictions every year could be a sign of things to come. It could get ugly down here in the next 50 years or so especially if we see a population boom either in Fargo or one of the suburbs.

They need to crush UC Davis and send a message that this team is back on track. They struggle to win or even lose against them and people are going to have 2013 flashbacks.

Property taxes skyrocketing, tax breaks for Burgum's Kilbourne Group downtown, no diversion. There is NO way in hell voters of Fargo including myself will vote for a tax increase to fund another football stadium for NDSU when the Fargodome is just fine. We have more important issues in this town when talking about money than paying for a stadium. We aren't Minneapolis.

Johnson, however, noted to the Herald in 2016 that Faison, like many others at UND, doesn’t have a traditional contract and receives “an initial letter of appointment and then an annual notice of continuing appointment from the President’s Office saying that, subject to funding, we have a position for another year. (The Jan. 6 letter) is the closest thing that Brian has to a contract.”

EGF has a clinic but not a Sanford hospital.

I'm surprised Sanford hasn't started a hospital in the Grand Forks area to rival Altru. Almost every little town in the area has a Sanford clinic except Grand Forks.

Faison's contract ends in 2021, so we will be 3 seasons into the SL and starting season 2 in the MVFC. Early success in those conferences would be a lock for a contract extension. I think he has done great things getting us in the right conferences at the right time, also getting us the right coaches for titles.

NDSU doesn't care about volleyball, their focus is on football and whatever resources are left then its men's basketball. Women's sports there have plummeted in the last decade.

What is with the big security push? Watching the UND-USD game fans had backpacks on. Obviously security isn't tight at the Dakota Dome. My dad took almost 10 minutes in security at the Potato Bowl, until they figured out it was a metal chip in his wallet to prevent people to get his card number. It was like going through an airport. I don't think a 72 year old Veteran who has had 2 strokes is a security risk. He has vowed to never go back to the Alerus. It's a shame.

Sioux and a logo yes Hawks and a logo no North Dakota and no logo yes the middle one will change to a yes in time.

I'll buy a Hawk hockey jersey when the Hawk is on the front of the jersey. A patch on the shoulder isn't enough for me to spend my money on. Just like I never bought the plan UND hockey jersey when they retired the Blackhawk logo (around 1993?), and I didn't buy one after the Sioux logo was retired in 2012.

Could Memorial Stadium be used for soccer? Plenty of seating.
