GT would rather play the Wagner's and the St. Francis of the FCS than a school 80 miles north of them that may actually draw a crowd. Has there been a decent FCS OOC team to see the Fargodome yet? Oh wait Robert Morris was there.

Here is a way we can get away from the H&A list. Aug 1, law takes place; Aug 12th NCAA meeting (nothing accomplished), UND asks NCAA for a H&A list extention while nickname is being retired for sure (also while law is repealed). NCAA says okay. November...Al Carlson voted out of office and never voted for again.

The only reason to move to a small town in the east is to get away from the high tax base of Fargo or Grand Forks. Unlike the small towns out west where people are flocking too to find housing, people aren't flocking to the small farm towns in the east, plus flooding all over the east is killing these small towns.

So is it possible to see more people living out west than out east? Could cities like Bismarck, Minot, Williston, and Dickinson outgrow Fargo, Grand Forks, West Fargo?

But they could stand up for themselves and maybe other schools (other than Wisconsin) could tell the Big Ten "no" to the new conference, remember Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan St had voices and as far as I know Barry Alverez doesn't run those schools.

One of the Irish fans is going for the HE since its driving distance...from South Bend to Boston or NY State? I would think it would be the same to drive to the east coast as driving to Denver or CC. Actually ND to CC approx 1000mi ND to BC 900mi. Weak argument.

So far no talk on BVille about NDSU starting hockey although 1 person did talk about Moorhead joing the WCHA (what's left of it). Funny how they think this is selfish of UND and this whole thing is UND's fault. HMMM do they feel that way about MInnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan St, and Ohio State since they are the first teams to leave the WCHA for their own conference? Of course their hatred for UND is comical because they have "moved on".

I agree with your whole post. UND will still be in the conference but without the nickname and logo, and these are exciting times for UND sports.
