Would you rather win 4 games all year but 1 of those wins be a FBS game or win 9 games and 6 of those be FCS wins. Recruits look more towards conference wins and FCS wins than if you can beat Idaho or Fresno State. If FBS wins were so important why doesn't UND schedule as many as they can?

Exactly. We need to be up 35-0 or so by halftime like we used to do with Crookston. I just hope there are no injuries in these "crap" games.

Just keep in mind South Dakota State hasn't beaten an FBS team yet and they made the playoffs, so is a FBS win really a need? I would focus on conference and FCS wins over FBS wins anyday.

This season IMO will be a success if we win the Great West with either a 4-0 or 3-1 record. I don't care about the FBS games too much as only NDSU fans cares a lot more about those wins than their own conference wins. As for being picked last thats understandable 0-4 last year and only 3 wins all season its time for a turnaround and this year is the beginning and next year.....playoffs!!!! BTW hasn't UND comeout with a 2011 football video? I saw it on Youtube for 2010 and earlier but no new one yet.

The NAIA games we need to destroy the opponents, the FBS games if we win we win and if we lose lets not get blown out like Idaho did to us. We need to win the FCS games and show the BSC that we intend to make conference life hell and we are not the new Idaho State of the BSC.
  6. I noticed that too. On the guide it says FSSN.
  7. Do you think Al Carlson would dare to show up at a Bison game after all the time and money wasted on his bill and little trip to Indy? Can you say political blackball Mr. Carlson. You are NOT wanted in this state.
  8. Put me down for this one!!!
  9. Attendance of 9300 and a 45-10 win for the Sioux.
  10. If Bradley is lighting up that Drake defense then I think he would put Goska in late. I don't think Muss would disrupt Bradley's rhythm just to see what Goska has.
  11. But if they ever think about the FBS? Also if the Montana's bolt for the FBS in a couple years would we really stay in the Big Sky forever or would we bolt if we were given an FBS invite?
  12. I wonder if UND basketball really takes off if people will cry for a bigger arena.
  13. I also think its a shame UND couldn't continue to play the Yotes. Who cares if they are in a different conference they are a rival team like NDSU and SDSU. We need more DI local teams on the schedule and to steer away from the Valley City/Mayville/Minot teams and get more butts in the seats. When does the "official" basketball schedule come out??
  14. It is fun to think about that half our conference foes are from the MAC maybe it opens scheduling up in other sports, not so much football with only 3 dates to fill a year but in basketball. I know the MAC is out of our recruiting area but it would piss off our neighbors to the south if UND plays MAC teams at the Betty while the BSA is hosting Valley City State.
  15. Does that mean maybe in the future UND could have a home in the MAC for all sports?
  16. Thank you very much!!!!
  17. I guess the NCAA is going to GF to discuss this. I hope they (NCAA) realize its not their (UND's) building and it shouldn't be touched. But of course the NCAA are reasonable people.
  18. I see Bison yard signs all over Fargo, so of course I would like to piss off my neighbors and get a UND Yard sign. Anyone know where i can get one either online or in person??
  19. Its the only reason I don't like it. Unless Red River changes their name to Fighting Sioux.
  20. I think when Blais took over for Gino the fans piled in but Gino's teams were average at best except in their championship years. I remember going to a Sioux-Gophers game where UND got smoked like 9-0 it was bad.
  21. No it wasn't. I remember seeing a lot of green and white seats during the Gino era between championships of 82 and 87 and then between 87 and 97. The new REA its hard to get a seat but the old one you go to the ticket booth and you can get seats right in the first row behind the glass next to the goalie. The only time it was hard to get a seat was when the Gophers were in town.
  22. Why? I don't get why only 9,000 would show up. Take Green Bay for example. Horrible team in the 70's and 80's. Basically the pre Favre/Rodgers days. They still packed Lambeau in all kinds of conditions and IMO our weather is worse than theirs and they play in December and January where we don't. I think if UND is at the top of the Big Sky and the FCS people will come whether we are in a dome or outside. Weather should not be a factor unless it is a total whiteout or -90.
  23. http://www.ndus.edu/uploads%5Cresources%5C1056%5C10-26-07-MINUTES-FOR-THE-WEB.PDF By December 31, 2012 all carpet, artificial turf, tile, laminate or wood flooring are to be replaced. Aisle seating standards at the REA to be removed by Dec 31, 2012 By December 31, 2011 Brass etched logos located within the REA are to be removed along with lighted exterior logos at the REA. All offical imagery located within administrative and other areas of the REA and UND campus not ordinary open to the public during athletic competition are to be replaced by Dec. 31, 2013. Etched glass doors leading to the club areas of the REA replaced by Dec 31, 2012 Etched glass doors leading to the administrative areas of the REA replaced by Dec. 31, 2015.
  24. I never saw that either. IMO the REA should be untouched since it is not owned by UND and its just a building like any other in GF and should be offlimits to any changes by the NCAA. It would be like the NCAA telling Chicago to get rid of the Blackhawk logo in their arena or the Wild in St. Paul. If its not a campus building (like the old REA, Memorial Stadium, and the Hyslop) then the NCAA should just butt out. http://www.valleynewslive.com/story/15259301/its-over?clienttype=printable I am sure the NCAA will be met with open arms at the REA.
  25. Better hockey team than in Alaska.
