+1 2006 UND defeated UNI....that was the year NDSU went 10-1 with their only loss to the Gophers.

Well seems like UND is blamed for breaking the rivalry. So if the series would've continued in 2004 would the game be played annually today or would've the Bison have broken it so they can have home games against Central Conn. St, and Wagner.

My point had nothing to do with FBS games it had to do with FCS OOC games which proves my point. GT wants to save the 2 FCS "slots" for any FCS team that is NOT UND. By playing the lower end of the FCS even makes him look more a dumbass than anything. Pretty soon the pitchforks will come out when a Wagner team or a St. Francis pulls out the upset against NDSU.

Since when are we on equal ground with NDSU. NDSU has been DI playoff eligible since 2008, and UND has been DI playoff eligible since 2012 oh thats right 2012 hasn't come yet.

We will have the same as NDSU 8 conference games an FBS and 2 OOC games. But you just said NDSU shouldn't waste a game on UND because its reserved for a high level team then later you said an FBS and 2 cupcake teams. Which is it? No UND but you will schedule Lafyette, or Wagner. Yep those are real money makers.

I wonder how many Bison fans would actually like UND to keep the name and somehow strike a deal with the NCAA to keep us off the sanctions list. My guess maybe 1 or 2.

I never sat in the front, front row of the Alerus but it couldn't be as bad as the front row at Memorial Stadium especially the home side unless you want to stare at the players and miss the game. Now staring at the cheerleaders...thats different.

Since the 2011 season hasn't started yet alot can happen between now May 26, 2011, and December 2012. I will give you my opinion before the 2012 season starts.

How many times did NDSU get into the FCS playoffs after their transition ended in 2007.....once 2010!!!!! And barely made it in the playoffs. No MVFC titles. Their only highlight has been "the dance". I will give them that, but since then their bball team hasn't done jack sh-t. BTW NDSU is 4-3 against FBS teams with the worst FBS SOS among the 4 Dakota teams...with UND playing the toughest FBS teams.

USD just signed Kansas to their FBS lineup in 2013. Here is what their FBS schedule for the near future looks like. 2011 Air Force & Wisconsin 2012 Northwestern 2013 Kansas 2014 TBD 2015 Kansas St However people at Bisonville (thats where I learned about USD), think USD is copying them in FBS scheduling. Since when did they copyright the Midwest. But the comment about UND was hillarious. We are in a different recruit area, different conference but yet we should play the same FBS teams?? and this comment makes me think by playing the sh-tty teams of the FBS makes them the most powerfull team in the FCS.

How many conference titles did NDSU win during their transition and how many has the Sioux won. Thats really the only way to compare the two. And since its just the GWFC, and GWC...who cares.

This may be a long shot but what about Roger Thomas?? I know he was unpopular during the decision to go to DI but look what he did with the Sioux from 1986-1993 we went from the bottom to the top and beat the Bison.

One thing I question is that what came first? The nickname or the rule. Since the NCAA had no problem with the nickname prior to 2005 questions whether they can tell the school to "break the law". UND has been the Fighting SIoux since the 30's the policy is 6 years old shouldn't the name trump the new policy. UND should be "grandfathered" in.

Its something how Bison fans want us to admit our transition is a failure when...#1 ITS NOT OVER YET!!! #2 the only thing to play for are conference titles we are not going to "the dance", we are not going to the FCS playoffs just like NDSU didn't during their transition. Even though they got the #1 ranking in the polls they still didn't go to the playoffs.

But its a state law(August 1st)...is the legislation going to say, "oops we messed up"? Can you say political death!!

2013 the BTHC starts we have 2 years to come down this road about not playing Minny/Wisconsin. We don't go on the H&A list until August 15 so a lot can happen between now and then.

Thats exactly what I did. As for playing down UND lost to Sioux Falls and SDSU lost to DIII Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Both bad losses but SDSU did make the playoffs first so all hope is not lost by UND.
