I agree I would've loved to get a Blackhawk jersey, with the tomahawks crossing the S on the sleeve, it was so sharp. They should bring that back for a throwback game.
-
That means UND could use it once in a while...could we be like the NFL and have throwback uniforms? It won't mean much for football but have Sioux or the logo in basketball and hockey.
-
Our level of competition? What is he Roy Williams? I didn't know SDSU was a major in basketball, whose on their schedule next Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky?
-
If we want to be part of March Madness...it starts with this game!!
-
I too can't see the Alerus outbidding the Fargodome since our dome is smaller. Unless they guarantee UND hockey tickets for the NCAA.
-
How about Phil Jackson?
-
And if we don't end their season...Holy Cross will.
-
It probably tastes like a Bison chip. Lol!!
-
Exactly and not against non DI opponents. Maybe UND can get big name teams like Minnesota or Nebraska to Grand Forks... We have the REA for big attendance games.
-
The first time NDSU and UND met in the playoffs there was talk if the nickel should be put up for grabs of course since NDSU lost the regular season game it was brought up by them.
-
That's the reason I wouldn't mind to see UND move into the Summit League/MVFC (MVFC is a must) is easier road games for those living here in the Valley. Since I live in Fargo I could hit UND vs NDSU, SDSU, and USD very easily than I can with Missoula, Bozeman, Greeley etc. Plus I miss the UND-NDSU rivalry, especially the football one. If they were in the same conference there would be more meaning to it but since it would be a OOC game its just not the same. But being at the UND-Montana game last month was a blast. So there are pros and cons on both sides of this issue.
-
Denver and KC are 600 miles apart the closest travel partner for DU.
-
With all this UND to the MVFC/Summit talk might want to think about this....how is the relationship between dumbass, I mean Douple and President Kelley? Both pointed fingers at each other in the whole nickname thing. So UND going to the Summit may face that roadblock but if Douple is desperate he may kiss Kelley's ass to get his school as a member. I only see UND going as long as we get the same deal as South Dakota. Its either MVFC/Summit or no deal.

He was a thrill to watch and cheer on. I wish him the best of luck in the future.
-
I finished tied for 14th with 70 points.
-
But go 3-1 or 4-0 and the Al will be packed the rest of the season. It all depends on what UND does on the offseason to get the defense better and have Mollberg prepared.

http://web1.ncaa.org...attendance.html BSC (avg attendance): BSC rank, team, number, and FCS rank 1. Montana (25,236) (2) 2. MSU (18,224) (8) 3. Sac St (9109) (38) 4. UND (8962) (41) 5. 2012 Attendance: 2011 Attendance: (some teams have more due to playoffs) #28 Total Attendance 53,770 #46 Total Attendance 47,045 (+6,725) #41 Average Attendance 8962 #60 Average Attendance 7841 (+1121) #35 Percent Capacity 72.96% #56 Percent Capacity 63.83% (+9.13%) This shows improvement due to a good conference and near zero DII/NAIA teams at the Alerus. More wins will mean more people.

I hope the BTHC goes under and then see Minny and UW crawl to the NCHC in hopes of membership. It would serve them right.
-
Defense definately but more specifically pass defense. Also tackling is a must for next year.
-
That's why I listed the other two Dakota teams and what they have done post transition. Did everyone expect UND to walk into the BSC and take the title? I expected UND to go close to 7-4 or 6-4 in DI games they came up a little short. They didn't tank the season like the Yotes.
-
I know people hate it when I compare things to NDSU but look what happened to that program out of their transition...6-5 and 3-8. I know people were calling for Bohl's head but look where they are now. SDSU jumped to the playoffs their second year out of transition but hasn't been back since (they might have a chance this season), and USD looked very bad this year with 1 win. UND isn't a bad team, our offense is good but our defense is bad. UNC is the only team with a losing record UND has lost to. The rest have 1 or 2 losses except San Diego State (8-3). I know people are impatient (me included) but I am willing to give Muss another shot, plus with 7 home games we should be able to be close to a playoff spot.

I think Faison gave Muss a break this year and added the contract extention due to winning the GWFC and to take the whole contract talk pressure off of him before starting the BSC. UND played one of the toughest schedules in the FCS when you play ranked team after ranked team it will take a toll if you are not used to it. UND went from playing 3 NAIA teams last year to play 3 ranked teams in a row then add Montana before going out to Bozeman. That is a hell of a difference in one year. Yes Muss had questionable coaching skills and I hope they do get better with this learning experience. Remember NDSU didn't make a threat in the MVFC until their third year in the conference. If UND tanks next season then fire them, but if UND makes a serious push towards the playoffs then we can cut him a little slack. But one thing is for certain....fire Mannausau.
-
Faison won't fire him due to the contract extention but his time is running out. Next season if we don't make the playoffs....Muss better get out the want ads

They already have 2 cupcakes every year in Penn St and Ohio State.
