Fans are board of Alabama vs LSU (except those fan bases). They want to know their team has a shot. In the FCS every team has a shot (unless you are in transition). Even the non-schollie teams have a chance if they beat the big boys. But to know you go undefeated in the FBS and never have a chance (Boise St) its sad. You can win the MAC or be a MAC team and go undefeated you still won't play for a title...just another bowl game that really means nothing.

That would be great. And to watch Hanson pass for over 600 yards was like watching Dan Marino in his old days play. I wish Hanson had more years at UND.

And that 4 team playoff thing of the FBS is going to be a total joke. No way will a MAC team or Sun Belt team see a NC until they either split the FBS in 2 or have a playoff like the FCS, DII, or DIII.

I love football. I love UND football. I went to games in the 80's when UND won 2 or 3 games. I went to every home game in 1993 (my only time doing that). I went to Bemidji to watch UND win 63-0. I went to games when they played non DI teams through the transition, and two games this year (PSU, UM). Winning does put people in the seats. Having something to play for puts people in the seats. I live in Fargo and work on the weekends so its hard for me to take time off and go to the games, if I was in Grand Forks it would be easier. Thats why I don't get why people would stay home on a Saturday and do yard work or watch FBS games on tv than go to the Alerus. Weather doesn't matter anymore (unless you tailgate), so I think the answer is WIN!! When you lose attendance drops, it happened in 2009 when NDSU went 3-8. It happened the years the hockey team was below par and in between championships (1987-1997). If UND can somehow beat MSU then knock off SUU and UNC, finish the year 7-4 and promote during the offseaon, you will see UND's attendance get back to the pre transition days. But if we lose the rest of the year, end up 4-7 it may take more than South Dakota State, and Montana to get fans back. We have a lot of fans that jump on the bandwagon when the team is up and soon as they lose, its hockey time.

Too bad Hanson couldn't have another year or 2 of eligibility left.

Just call us the 2008 NDSU team. NDSU beat 2 teams with winning records, Central Conn State and Southern Illinois in their 6-5 MVFC debut.

5 dimes has MSU favored by 9.

So that leaves Forgery and shoplifting as okay in their book.

A little mistake in the article:

Why is the audio so bad in the Alerus? Its worse when its from the video board. Some of it gets too loud and you can't understand it. That needs to be fixed for next season. Maybe little things like that, plus UND needs to get the Greater Grand Forks area involved in the school. Yard signs, banners, UND the town. I drive through Fargo-Moorhead (and West Fargo) and in residential areas all you see is Herd signs in their yards. Billboards throughout the city has NDSU on it, is there any in GF? Not only is the students not showing up, the public isn't showing up. Get the state involved in UND sports stick some billboards along Hwy 2 and I-29. Stick some in Fargo for us UND fans living here. Adverstise, advertise, advertise.

Hanson threw for 660 against Montana, I say Muss should tell Hanson lets see 700 yars and 7 TD's. Seriously this could be a close one, Zeb Miller has been very quiet (due to all the TD's). It could come down to his leg at the end. I hope UND wins but I don't think they will...MSU 35 UND 27.

IMO Braden Hanson is the best pure passer UND has ever had (for me thats going back to the Kurt Otto days of the 80's). Can we expect Mollberg and/or Bartels to do the same, probably not but I hope we don't expect them to throw for over 400 yards. Is this the new UND offense (pass, pass, pass) or do we go back to the traditional run, run, run team. Those new kids have big shoes to fill next season and its good we get a practice game (that counts in DI wins) in Valpo. Valpo is winless so hopefully they can get the bugs out before the big guns come to the Alerus in South Dakota St and Montana before conference games start.

I seem to see some eye candy driving on University Drive past NDSU.

As a Dolphins fan I would be happy to see NDSU beat New England.

South Dakota St is the only FCS Dakota team that plays outside. Football is made to be played outside.

With the way my son ate at the Montana game I could've paid for a roof and a huge video board that would make Jerry Jones jealous.
