If NDSU doesn't need UND then BIson fans and media should never use the word UND when they have scheduling problems. Because as the teams fill their schedule and it gets closer to fall UND will get named more and more and if this happens next year UND will get mentioned again.

Yes backouts suck everyone will agree to that. Was DI a bad move for NDSU or UND? It wasn't for UND since fans wanted to move with the SU's in 04. As for NDSU is hasn't affected them so I guess both are happy in DI. But let's say things would be different is RT and Kuppy weren't in charge in 04...that's why I don't get the grudge by GT. He is the only one on both sides that was there in 2004 and yet here we are today still without an instate rival game.

Who is comparing UND to NDSU? He said NDSU sports are better now then they were in DII. Are they? How many championships have been won in sports other than football? How many tournament appearances?

You mean your football team is better now than it was since 1990. Your men's basketball team won 1 conference title and that was what 4 years ago, your women's basketball team sucks I don't know about the othe minor sports like baseball or volleyball. And yes UND has had two teams backout in 2009 it was Idaho State (game never got replaced) and last year Central Arkansas backed out ( replaced by Portland State).

I started going to games with my dad in 1985 and watching NDSU demolish us like we were a high school team sucked but the worst was in 1991 and 1992 when were so close to winning only to have NDSU pull it out in the end. I was at the game in 1993 with my parents and the emotion of finally beating the king of the NCC was like winning a national title. Seeing fans storm the field tear down the goal post was a sight I never saw before. When NDSU left without UND I was mad as hell that RT and Kuppy choose to stay in DII. Then when we finally moved up I thought this rivalry would start again as both teams were on an even field...boy I guess I was wrong as GT is still holding a grudge. So obsessed yes. I want this game played every year or every other year it don't matter as long as fans like me can circle the date on a calendar and count the days until the teams meet.

Maybe they should have thought about the ramifications of moving up more than just football...oh wait buttfootball. So UND also cancelled the series with South Dakota State but in 2010 they played in Brookings and now in 2013 they are playing in Grand Forks. But NDSU still has the excuses that are up to 2,438 why they can't schedule UND.

Obviously NDSU needed to level up on UND and cry that UND cancelled the series an so in response since both teams are on the same level GT refuses to sign a deal with UND...sounds childish doesn't it? Obviously SDSU had no problem scheduling UND in a home and home but yet NDSU has a million excuses not to.

70% of voters on BVille don't want it because I think they don't want the same result that happened in 2003, 2002, 2001. 58% of the people here want it because its a rivalry game, we are now on level ground both teams have the same scholarships and is playing at the same level (DI). I love the excuses at BV saying NDSU is at a higher level but would rather play Western Carolina, Prairie View or Robert Morris instead of UND. Yes you have two NC in DI and is after another one, if seeing UND as lower than RM or PV then why not play us. We count as a DI counter. See what I am getting at. If NDSU fans think their Bison is above and beyond our playing level and think they can beat us 80-0 like we were Moorhead State then what do they have to lose?

Grand Forks Central, Valley Jr. High, Wilder and West Elementary schools have been without their NA nicknames since 1991. When they get their names back UND will get theirs back. UND will never be the Fighting Sioux again. We the fans of UND will be the Fighting Sioux forever but the school and its teams will never be called the Fighting Sioux....zero percent chance.
