No way UND will ever go back to being the Fighting Sioux unless the NCAA gets rid of the NA policy and allows ALL schools their old names. Its called reality. It sucks but its true. Just like Central will never be the Redskins. I loved that name but they will never be called that. 10 years from now you can still yell home of the Sioux or lets go Sioux while everyone else in the stands yells go Fighting XXXXX. Its your right and no one will take that away from you, but officially UND will NEVER be the Fighting Sioux, just like Kelley said UND will NEVER be the Flickertails. The majority would love UND to be called the Fighting Sioux I know that, you know that, and the NCAA knows that. But the majority saw a battle that had dire consequences against the athletic department (no hosting tournaments, scheduling problems, other schools having NA policies) so that's why the majority voted to retire the name. It sucked but it had to be done for the good of the school, not because we believe in the NCAA's policy (I think the policy is BS).

That's what I was wondering why we were getting receivers left and right. Its good that we get these players but I am more interested on when they are going to play. Are they going to be buried in the depth chart or are they going to replace outgoing talent. By the looks at your post they are going to replace outgoing talent. Okay that clears that up. Are we going to go from a running team (DII, GWFC) to a passing team like last year? Its a tough task...I hope it works.

I agree to we cannot pass up quality players but we need more better players on defense. I hope the focus is on that and not so much on the wide outs.

IMO they (SL) is hoping the NCAA will change their mind on the NA policy and let UND slide by with one tribal approval. It won't happen, plus now public opinion is not on their side anymore more and more wanted this thing to end and move on. There is no way UND will ever be the Fighting Sioux(sad to say it). 2015 here comes your UND Fighting.......

What does our depth look like at WR? Are we losing a lot after 2013 or 2014? To me it seems like we are very deep at the position to be recruiting more receivers.

If UND makes the tournament (so far it looks good) those two tall trees would have to fall early if UND has a shot or else UND would have to play a damn near perfect game to over take them. Montana we fared good for a half while Weber blew us out.

So Dom Izzo and Jeff Kolpack isn't part of the Fargo media? They stir this up every time NDSU has a scheduling problem and yet most fans blame UND for it.

I live in Fargo, and with my parents in GF I could easily see UND play NDSU every year. You as in UND fans, some don't care to play (like some Bison fans), but its funny how its the Fargo Media pressing this issue when GT has some sort of scheduling problem.

Says who? Gene Taylor, yes, Don Lucia yes, some Bison and Gophers fans yes....Dom Izzo and the Fargo media no, Paul Allen and the Minneapolis media no, some Bison and Gophers fans no. So think about that.

So I take that as a "yes NDSU would stop the rivalry in favor of those home games because UND is NOT a conference member and will take a backseat". As for your other statement. Faison said he was sending the contract to GT...ask him not me whether he sent it or not if you are really that curious.

Just answer it yes or no. If you look at GT and the Bison fans excuse of we need that extra home game to make money would NDSU play one home OOC game every other year to keep the rivalry ( At FBS, At UND, vs FCS) and if the answer is yes why aren't they playing every year now.

So would it be safe to say NDSU would eventually break the series because they would have to travel to UND and lose a home game? 2009 would've been NDSU at UND would that game really have happened? If so why not play every year like Faison first wanted to.
