Similar reasons? Minnesota's coach Don Lucia said on the radio they had very few spots left and it was about the Sioux nickname (but that doesn't hold water due to Wisconsin's NA policy). NDSU won't play UND because of GT's grudge because UND stopped the series because of the unfair playing level and (at that time) getting punished by the NCAA playoff committee for playing a DI team and not DII's. UND didn't do anything to stop Minnesota it was the Gophers who left the conference, all for their butt buddies in the Big Ten. Like Paul Allen said...all because Penn State wanted to have a hockey club? Yep similar reasons. As for GT's excuses...nope I don't want to play every year...nope I don't want to play every other year (the 2015, 2017 Faison deal). We are required by NDSU law to have 6 home games, we don't make any money playing at UND. Any other excuses I missed?

Most people don't give a !@#$, but its the media that drives this over and over. They want the game to be played so they can run a story on everything and anything to do with the game. This would be bigger than Frisco coverage done by KVLY. I would love to see the game happen, and it will but what is tiring is the excuses by GT, and that is what the Fargo Forum exposed and the SU fans got uptight about. UND trailed 29-27 at haltime then holds EWU to only 18 points?? What the hell did Jones tell his team at halftime? "If you lose this game I am replacing everyone with Grand Forks Central's team". UND looked like a different team in that second half and their defense played great. Keep it up against PSU and the rest of the BSC.

If GT were to sign it then 2015 would be the first game and there would be so much hype and a UND-NDSU gameday countdown on the WDAY website. But obviously he did not sign it and so Dom Izzo and the SU media is bringing this up and will bring it up next year. And since it will be brought up next year lets look at the schedules: 2014: UND NDSU at San Jose State at Iowa State Aug 30 vs Robert Morris vs Montana Sept 6 OPEN OPEN Sept 13 OPEN OPEN Sept 20 OPEN (Oct 18th) vs USD (OOC) Nov 22nd 12 game season. Let Dom Izzo start drooling over this schedule (if NDSU wants a 12th game).

The KSU number was that article, the FCS numbers is what is projected NDSU will have to pay to bring in a school (ex. Prairie View last year) and the UND number I made up. But makes sense that number would be a lot lower since we are only 70 miles away.
