How about the best pure passer probably at UND in a very long time....Braden Hanson. I know a one year wonder but against that competition he proved he was a good QB. Also Greg Hardin will soon get his face on the mountain.

How much money does NDSU make per home game (ballpark is fine) because if its less than 250-300k NDSU doesn't make money on home games. Now you lure in UND in an every year rivalry series (pay per road team very minimal 100k) wouldn't NDSU make money even if it was vs UND at FBS vs FCS. Because vs FCS vs FCS at FBS you have up to 600k to pay for the FCS teams to come to Fargo so you would have to hope the FBS payday will be huge. Example: NDSU at K-State NDSU gets 350k http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2011-05-10-1664688373_x.htm NDSU vs FCS team #1 (NDSU pays 250-300k) NDSU at UND NDSU gets 150,000 (assuming NDSU-UND gets 150 per road team) Or NDSU at K-State NDSU +350k NDSU vs FCS NDSU -250-300k NDSU vs FCS #2 NDSU -250-300k Finally NDSU at KSU +350k NDSU vs FCS #1 -250-300k NDSU vs UND NDSU -150k Total: Scenario #1 +200-250k Scenario #2 -150- -250k Scenario #3 -50 - 100k Looks like a no brainer for scenario #1 but you need those home games.

So NDSU fans won't eat at restaurants, go to the Sioux Shop at the Ralph (there are Bison fans that love UND hockey) go to Super Target (FM doesn't have one). The numbers would be about the same either way.

So NDSU doesn't gain more money if it was UND at NDSU than Wagner at NDSU?? Wouldn't the community of Fargo gain more? How many UND fans would shop and spend money in the FM community compared to Wagner fans? And if your biggest argument is we lose a home game it's called life. Not every year you will have 2 home games I believe FU had one in their 3-8 season an the program survived didn't it?

He is playing with fire by shutting the door altogether on UND a DI team. What if both WCU and MSU both blackout then you have 2 replacement games to find instead of one. If you close the door on a cheap game that you know won't blackout ( the state won't allow that) then you are setting yourself up for trouble.

You have 3 OOC games: FBS (how often are those bought out), UND and an FCS. So that there leaves GT to schedule 1 team in the FCS. There are over 100 teams to pick and if he can't do it that's his problem. Also you don't play 1 team in the MVFC that is another option.

Correct. Somehow we are NOT at their level, but Wagner, St. Francis, Lafayette is. I am getting a feeling the NDSU fans think of themselves more and more like Alabama when reality tells them they are in the FCS like the other 100+ teams. UND, NDSU, USD, SDSU all DI playoff eligible, all at the same level.

Backing out does suck (UND had Idaho St and Central Arkansas do this) but this is two years in a row of scheduling problems. GT is playing with fire and soon may be forced to pull an UNI and schedule a DII team for an 11th game or just play 10 and hope for a 10-0 record.

What I love on BVille is how they say UND is not on their level. Really? Are we still DII? I thought a win over us would count so why not play us if they think we are on the same level of a Robert Morris or Sioux Falls or Fargo South. But that's right we aren't the ones crying for a game it is the Fargo media. I guess Montana isn't on the same level as them since we beat them, and I say lets play them in the dome...we are 4-1 in their building.

UND doesn't need the game that is a fact. We have our 11 opponents all DI all count towards the playoffs. NDSU has 10 so they need that one FCS team to play (ideally in the Fargodome). So don't rip on UND for this, as this was started by Dom Izzo and the SU media. This seems to be a repetition until GT either plays 10 teams or schedules a DII team. Look how long it took to schedule Prairie View. So is this going to be an every year thing where they keep searching up to the last minute to fill out their schedule? Two years in a row says something. So that's why it makes GT look foolish to not renew the rivalry. Remember when Faison said 2015 Fargo 2017 Grand Forks, does GT still have the papers that was sen to him or did he use it for toilet paper.

Why are you laughing at our attendance in basketball? Doesn't the Fargo Force outdo the Bison in attendance? 1897 for a team towards the bottom of the conference plus the bad weather is pretty good. By the way first place NDSU had only 3300 in their 6000 seat building about the same percent capacity as UND did. Pretty sad for a first place team, oh I know the Force must have been playing.
