Its official NDSU got its 11th game vs Delaware St. So Dom Izzo can bring up the UND/NDSU possible game next year.

A lot of the MVC fans on their boards bring up consistency in going to the dance from the SU's which since the 2008-09 season has only 1 appearance each.

I saw NDSU just lost badly to Western Illinois (scoring only 36 points on their home court). IMO if NDSU or SDSU doesn't get to the dance....their MVC hopes are going bye bye very fast. WIU is a threat as is Oakland. Winning in Sioux Falls is not a guarantee for the SU's like it looked earlier in the year.

Tough season for first year head coach Travis Brewster. Hopefully with better recruits due to conference affiliation we can be contenders next season and the seasons after that. Of course injuries are always a battle and can make or break your season.

Any thoughts who the leader will be in our RFr QB battle? Mollberg or Bartels. IMO I would think Mollberg since he has the hometown (DL) advantage but it all comes down to skills who is the better passer, playmaker, and who has the mentality to lead this team.

Possible homes for the SL teams: Oakland- Horizon NDSU, SDSU, USD-MVC, BSC WIU-MVC UNO-MVC (as a Creighton replacement only) DU-WAC or BSC IUPUI, IPFW-?? UND--Sitting pretty in the Big Sky Conference (and WAC for baseball and women's S&D)

I understand that. Its just a shame that students will show up for UND playing Michigan Tech, or UAA but won't show up or at least stay the whole game vs Montana or Cal Poly. UND needs to be almost as big as hockey. Basketball won't be big at least anymore since there is a zero chance at a National Title but at football there is still hope. We need the support to come back that left after 2007.

Its called marketing the hometown school. NDSU has done a great job doing that.

The big factor for me not going is kids, and my job. Is there really a lot of students that have both, and cannot attend. I swear if I lived in GF, I could attend all the games but my work schedule 11pm-7:30am doesn't give me much time to sleep, drive up to GF, attend game, drive back to Fargo, and then go to work. In Fargo there are signs everywhere for Bison this and Bison that. On billboards, on businesses, in people's yards. But when I drive up to Grand Forks...where is that? Where are the UND football billboards? Where are the yard signs showing hometown spirit. Marketing is crap compared to NDSU. I hate to compare it but as the only 2 schools in ND with DI sports its true. UND has a big time tv contract but its pretty sad come football time when you can't really feel the UND spirit until the Potato Bowl rolls down DeMers Ave.

I am sick of hearing about attendance woe's due to hockey. Football games are not on Friday nights, and they don't play during a hockey game. So why can't people attend football games in the afternoon then go to the hockey game at night? I know hockey is king, but to keep using hockey as an excuse for people not showing up is getting pretty damn old. I know there are hockey only fans, and there are UND sports fans. We need more UND sports fans in that Alerus supporting UND football. Hockey gets attention above and beyond everything at UND but can't football get some spotlight? I hope with winning more games and a DI schedule more people will be at the Al this season.

Hadn't indicated anything??? We play in the Great West? No autobid whatsoever. Either Douple is a total moron (which I think he is) or he sucks at his job at communicating that UND will need a home for baseball and the SL would be attractive with regional competition and an AQ bid. Or C....A &B.

I see UND playing MVFC teams more often since they are close to Grand Forks, but what about teams like Eastern Washington. If there is a whole FBS ban on FCS games then how much could it cost them since besides other BSC teams who is close to them....NDSU or maybe a TX team.

You can't startup a conference in the FBS or move an FCS conference into the FBS. I thought I read there is some rule or something. The best we could have done is all join the WAC before the WAC disappeared.
