I think this team could make some noise come tournament time if everyone can stay healthy. We can win on the road (which looks like will be at Montana or at Weber State). So lets make this like the GWC tournament.....and win it!!!!

Almost to the day another winter storm has been named for our area...Orko. Currently most of us are in a blizzard watch starting Saturday night through Monday. Sunday is a day where you want to be home watching college basketball on tv and not be traveling. As of now (current track) GF is to get around 6 inches of snow while Fargo is to get 10 inches with a foot possible plus winds up to 45mph. So I am sure I-29/I-94 will be closed with the heavy snow and wind. So get your errands done on Saturday and if you must travel on Sunday...stay safe!!

I love how you guys blast hockey for having DII and DIII teams what does wrestling have? Bloomsburg and Edinboro are not exactly DI are they now.

I thought the SL was 2.0 right now...I guess you add St. Cloud and Augy and its NCC 2.1

How would that look with Augustana, Omaha, Mankato, St. Cloud State all in the Summit...oh wait give it 5 years.

Last member of the MVC to leave was Tulsa in 1996. Since 1996 12 teams (including UMKC) has left the Summit League. Including 6 teams since NDSU/SDSU moved to DI. Not a stable conference at all. Its like a GWC 2.0

1. I don't think South Dakota would be welcomed into the Big Sky after snubbing them (even thought it was up to the SDBoR). 2. If the MVC allowed UND to join including the MVFC then I think UND staff and fans would take a look at that, but no way UND losses the BSC for the Summit. 3. Since the Big Sky has no baseball I wonder if NDSU would join as just a basketball only member.

Boy Lakes is trying to sell the farm to get into the MVC but all their fans are basically laughing at him. A lot of points go against NDSU like travel and markets. I like Lakes' comment on how the new BSA is about to break ground. Um last i heard they are still a couple million bucks short and those shovels still have dust and cobwebs on them.

Why would NDSU be picked over SDSU to replace Creighton? They both have 1 title in men's basketball, SDSU has 4 straight titles in women's basketball. The only sports NDSU has outdone the Jacks (other than football) is softball and volleyball. Doesn't the Jacks have the geography advantage?

They will have for full DI members next year: NDSU SDSU USD DU Oakland WIU IPFW IUPUI 8 teams...isn't 7 the minimum for an AQ conference?

With people on BV continuing to bash the Big Sky do we want them to join? Or woul it be better to have them stuck on an island as a team without an AQ conference.

Why would NDSU get invited to the MAC??? Talk about travel woes. Oh that's right that only applies to UND.

Speculation is running wild on BV...I heard the MAC, MW, MVC, BSC. I think the BSC is their only chance. Even with NDSU kicking butt in the MVFC it means little in the MVC.

And what decade will the BSA get fixed? USD is about to break ground on a new arena, Omaha has a new arena (not sure how new SDSU's is) but NDSU is trailing those schools in facilities. But remember at NDSU football matters everything else can wait.

Or go to war with each other if one spot opens up in another conference.

Maybe they had a talk with Oakland or IPFW on conference skipping. Gene Taylor better pray the other schools (OU, IPFW, IUPUI) stays or else its off to the BSC, Great West or Indy league ( oh wait the SL with its minimal teams will equal a Indy league with no AQ).

I could see the SU's dumping the Yotes, but on the other hand Bison fans are hoping on joining the MVC over the Big Fluffy as they call it. Wouldn't it be something to have SDSU join the Big Sky while NDSU and USD fend for themselves.

What about St. Cloud State? Do they drop football and join the SL? One thing the SL has to worry about is too many DII teams in transition that could affect their AQ bid until they are all full members I think Omaha has until 2014 or 2015 until they are full members.

Actually NDSU Woud make 13 for basketball...Idaho is 12(they rejoin the BSC next season except football).
