  1. What a blessing it was to have Montana and Montana State say no to moving to the WAC. The Big Sky is one of the most sturdiest conferences (that also has football) in the FCS/mid major. It was a great move by Faison to say no thanks to the Summit and to be in the Big Sky. We don't have to worry about our conference mates moving in and out like the SL has a history of. Since the BSC was created in 1963 only 5 yes only FIVE teams has left. And now one of them is coming home (Idaho except in football). The five teams are Idaho, Gonzaga, Nevada, Boise State, and Cal State-Northridge. Since the Summit League was created in 1982 they have had 21 teams (UMKC is #21) leave the conference. Talk about a revolving door of a conference.
  2. I know we don't "need" to play the teams close to us, but as a fan and money standpoint we do. Those games are cheap. If you can bus to a game instead of fly you are better off, but if you are flying to the east coast, or west coast that's where you could run into a money situation especially if they aren't offering the big bucks to play you. The South Dakota schools would be an easy drive (even if the USD game is in Sioux Falls), UNI wouldn't be bad but if the game is in Indiana, or New York or Texas then you are going to rack up the flyer miles.
  3. I hope we can play South Dakota. We need to stay close to the other Dakota schools. Maybe another home and home with the Jacks or even another trip to UNI.
  4. Fine...no more talk about Bisonville, or NDSU. I don't want to piss off anyone else.
  5. Challenge denied. Plus I am not the only one to post about BV.
  6. People on BV still holding on hopes they will replace Creighton. They seem to have no problem dumping SDSU like a bad date.
  7. I wonder if the NCAA will put a hold on switching conferences soon. Its just too much to catch up on.
  8. Does this mean more purging for the A-10, Horizon, and possibly the Summit? Seems like a setup for a domino effect. 2 spots open up in the A-10 maybe Xavier and Butler replaced with Valpo and Youngstown State (just thinking geographically) then Oakland joins the Horizon along with maybe IPFW or IUPUI (or both). I think it spells more trouble for the Summit League.
  9. Very true. Or else someone needs better accounting skills.
  10. So that way the education system will be in the hands of people like Al Carlson? No thanks!!
  11. But then again no diversion puts 120,000+ people without a city (like GF 1997).
  12. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/391306/
  13. Al Carlson is crushing this state very slowly. First he thinks he can take on the NCAA (fail), then he wants to cap how much money this state can receive from the oil companies (ultimate fail), then telling Fargo no more than 325 million for flood control but nothing for buyouts and a diversion (thanks dickhead), now eliminate the SBoHE. Please get this @ss clown out of Bismarck.
  14. Okay. It wasn't on the wiki page so I didn't know if UND had an FBS game next season or not.
  15. Its pretty unfortunate situation for MSU. Raising prices always sucks from a fan standpoint, plus now you add getting critized for backing out of a H&H game. If MSU has a bad year....heads may roll in Bozeman.
  16. Has there been any word on an FBS game for 2014? So far our OOC is hosting Robert Morris on Sep 6th. So we need 2 more games to fill.
  17. To play devil's advocate (and I am sure most Bison fans will think this way) if MSU was such in a money crunch why did they wait until February to buyout the game instead of buying it out back in December or earlier. But maybe MSU didn't know how bad it was until February. I don't know.
  18. I thought it first came from the SFI. Oh well.
  19. Its wishful thinking on our part. If UND were to win the tournmanet or even to beat Weber St to get to the championship it would be the biggest win in UND's DI history.
  20. This may or may not be it: http://spirit.und.edu/events.php Current money out of a goal of 300 million is at: $298,384,378. Maybe they have someone who will finish the remainder.
  21. Wrong!!! UND will beat NDSU for the National Championship.
  22. Maybe we will get better recruits in an AQ comference than in the Great West.
  23. 2004 they went 3-5 vs DI teams, 2006 they lost to DIII Wisconsin-Lacrosse 17-3, 2007 only GWFC title Total DI wins: 20-17 1 conference title UND went 2-4, 5-4, 2-8, 5-3. Total DI wins: 14-19 1 conference title
  24. That's the thing this game will only be remembered by the KKK incident and not by the title won by RR. It's sad since the hockey team and the students wanted this to be remembered as a great tourney now because of three douchbags its tainted.
