And to think Montana would rather play its cross-state rival than move up....I didn't think teams did that.
-
Our whole athletic dept is mediocre to poor? So our mediocre to poor VB, WBB, and baseball team beat your high and mighty program. Thanks again Dan for your interest in UND athletics...I hear Bisonville mooing your name in the background, you better run along now. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5753330 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5792014

This isn't an ordinary non conference game, its the back end of a home and home.
-
2009 ISU backed out of the game in GF and UND replaced the game with the Britney Spears concert. UND ended up with 5 home games. They must of replaced the game with a road game. It was USD that had 10 games during their GWFC days...my bad.
-
By going to their team builder site on easports.com and search for UND. A lot of people create a lot of teams so you kinda pick and choose. I have UND in the WAC with USD, the SU's, the Montana's up to 10 created teams allowed (without paying for more teams).

What does academics have to do with sports. Lol!!!
-
I hope that wasn't the reason EASports scrapped the series. Ed Obannon you tool. That computer guys looks like my I am suing you. LOL!!
-
I love that you can create teams. I play UND all the time in NCAA football (thanks to the creators of the team on teambuilder) and I had an NHL hockey game for either SNES or PS1 (can't remember the system) but you can create a player...I created the whole UND hockey team.

Maybe a school finally gave him a shot at head coaching instead of being just an assistant.
-
I played that game with NDSU and won a national title with them. I did hear the last one made wasn't good as the gameplay was way off. If they took the time and made it like NCAA football with ways of creating your team, recruiting, etc. there would be more of a demand for it.
-
But also remember Idaho St screwed UND to and didn't replace it so they played a 10 game schedule. But should the BSC, MVFC, CAA, and SLC have an alliance.
-
https://twitter.com/DomIzzoWDAY This was tweeted from Dom Izzo in reguarding the scheduling woes of NDSU this year, what do UND fans think? I would like to see an alliance with those 3 other conferences. UND could play USD, Sam Houston State, and Stony Brook, or 2 of them plus 1 FBS team. It would make scheduling a lot easier and more affordable as prices for games keeps going up.
-
I didn't know which forum to put this but does anyone know why EASports hasn't produced a college basketball game since 2009? It would be great to see UND on the game as a part of the Big Sky. They produce college football every year along with Madden, NHL, NBA, even NASCAR, and Golf but no college basketball (no college hockey either but that's another topic).

Case in point...1984 Miami Dolphins. Went 14-2 got to the Super Bowl then Dan Marino couldn't pass against the Niner defense. Passing is good but you need a running game. Not like a Nebraska Cornhusker 300 yards rushing per game but enough to not rely throwing on every down.
-
Agree!!!
-
We need to be able to run the ball and give the defense a breather. You can't be successful with a one dimensional team. We need balance, and if you can run the ball successfully you can beat them with a play action pass. Whatever they decide 50-50, 60-40 or 99-1, just win the game!!
-
Attempts no...really? Seems like we were always throwing the ball. Of course we had to keep par with our opponents as the defense couldn't stop them.
-
So its a mistake to hire within? Dale Lennon only won UND a National Title in 2001 after being their DC, I guess that doesn't matter. How do these people get experience if you don't give them a chance. As for as buyers remorse from the BSC, sounds like jealousy that we got invited (had TWO conferences interested at UND at the same time) while NDSU had to settle with the SL after rejection and anger when UNC got in, then rejection AGAIN when the BSC said no. I think its really sad to come on here and try to talk trash when your conference is losing more members all the time.
-
Isn't that what this team was last year?
-
A loss is a loss in the NCAA tournament ( I know you love to hang on to staying toe to toe with Kansas in '09), but a loss is a loss. Summit = BSC (except in stability).
-
How about a game at Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin or Kansas. Big name schools around here would be better IMO.
-
Is the schedule for vb available online?
-
Minnesota leaves the NCAA and joins this new BCS type division and is no longer a member of the NCAA in all sports including hockey. You can classify them the same as an a NAIA division and therefore cannot be in NCAA hockey because its football, basketball etc are not NCAA members. Understand? It's like Mayville St (NAIA member) trying to join the WCHA, they can't because they are not NCAA members, it would be the same if the B1G tells the NCAA goodbye, they leave the NCAA in all sports (hockey, wrestling, lacrosse etc).
-
I think you have to be NCAA members to play all sports. You don't see an NAIA team in NCAA hockey. It's all or nothing. Basically the the Big Ten hockey conference would be no more if those schools left the NCAA.
-
Say these big conferences move out of the NCAA...would teams of other sports allow this like Minnesota in hockey and Duke in Lacrosse? (You can't be out of the NCAA and play in these sports). This is a catch 22 for teams like the Gophers and Badgers. Either move with the BSC and drop NCAA hockey or move out of the B1G and keep NCAA hockey.
