What if the votes wasn't there, and if UND told the BSC no, then we would be either in Independent hell or have no football team. When your football team gets invited you don't say no, hoping someone else will invite you. Opportunity knocks...you answer it.

Then you are the only one. No way was UND getting an invite, because: 1. UND was not a member of the SL while USD was. The SL and MVFC worked out a deal together. 2. Eastern MVFC schools didn't want USD until they were told they only had to make 1 trip to the Dakotas. With UND they would no doubt have to make 2 trips.

You forgot all non conference games are required under Bison law to be played only in Fargo. So of course they would love to play Davis and Poly if it was only in the dome.

Travel costs have changed because when NDSU wanted into the Big Sky it wasn't an issue, admit UNC and later Cal Poly, UC Davis, SUU and UND and now it's always a negative. They want a bus league except that wasn't the case almost a decade ago. Their hatred towards the BSC is jealousy that UND got in on the first try while NDSU went 0-2 trying to get accepted.

His anti UND comments are all over the SL thread on BV so I thought he was a Bison fan. But to say UND will run to the SL at a snap of the finger from Douple is so funny, I think Faison would be on the floor laughing.

2014 SL baseball: NDSU, SDSU, WIU, IPFW (UNO not full DI member until fall of 2016).

They don't want to join the BSC because they are pinning their hopes on a SL/HL merge. Either that or NDSU joining the HL, MVC, or the MAC (Lakesbison's dream). Reality is showing that time is running out and with Oakland gone and with their AQ gone in baseball (which could easily have DU moving out of the SL) their strong conference is nothing but denial.

The only advantage the SL has over the BSC is baseball..they offer it. So whatever Dakota team joins the BSC and dumps the Douple league will most likely join UND, UNC, and Sac St in the WAC.

There was a SIU fan that posted on AGS he would like to see USD gone. I don't think schools on the eastern part of the MVFC would allow UND to join. As for UND joining the Slummit...no f*n way!!!!
