So NDSU can go to the dance in an outdated facility (BSA) and in a hockey arena (Scheels) but yet we can't go because we don't have a high end facility? I think what determines who goes to the dance is the players and coaches not the uniforms or building.

The SL before the Dakota's joined (2006-07 season): Valpo (left the next year) Centenary (left in 2011 for DIII) SUU (left in 2012) UMKC (left in 2013) Oakland (left in 2013) WIU Oral Roberts (left in 2012) (rejoined in 2014) IUPUI So unsteady. If the Dakota 3 left, that conference would become the Great West 2.0 which would scare me if UND were to join the SL. Who would say the SU's, Omaha, Denver, or anyone else would stay. We already saw ORU leave once, who says they would stay permanently.

Also it depends who leaves the MVFC, I know if a team from the west leaves there would be no chance to add another Dakota team, but if YSU or a team further away from the Dakota 3/UNI area there could be a window (a very small window) to explore. Only way UND looks at the Summit is if the MVFC was included in the package.

The MVFC doesn't want UND until at least a team (most likely from the east (ex. YSU)) leaves. No one wants to make an extra trip to the Dakotas. You can feel the love of that conference can't you.

I think instead of focusing on the state we focus on UND, that's why I like Jets. There is one other school in the NCAA with the nickname and its South Georgia Tech College (JC). So our name will be like no other in NCAA DI sports. We can have a mascot, a cool logo, and I know Winnipeg is the Jets but we are not in the NHL. UND is known worldwide for its aerospace and aviation program, and we should showcase that in our new name and logo.
