So you think the reason our transition in all our sports was due to not playing the Bison? We also stopped playing SDSU in all sports but they agreed to restart the series in 2010 because they weren't pricks about it, and actually had balls to schedule UND at the Alerus unlike FU. I guess when we restarted playing SDSU we did have a GWFC title, a dance trip by the UND women and a conference title in VB. Thanks Jackrabbits.

The final 2 names was Knights or Pride. Which one sounds better out of those two names. One name that was mentioned but didn't make the cut was GreyWolves, I thought that was a good name.

The voting ends at the end of the month, I suppose it could take a while to narrow down the list.

Nebraska just set a record with 76,881 at the spring game, I know we aren't going to have 13,000 at the spring game but hopefully a good crowd means faith is being restored back into the football program.

The Jets play the Ducks in the playoffs, hopefully everyone stays healthy and we can get a sweep.

I was always a Jets fan so I was crushed when they moved to Phoenix, I couldn't just get into the Coyotes so I became a Wild fan (loosely) until Atlanta moved to Winnipeg.

Jets are in the playoffs for first time since 1996!! Winnipeg will be rockin!!

I understand not having a good name as the Fighting Sioux, it was tough picking a name for GFC in 94, but I think Knights was a good choice by me, my classmates and the 2 grades below us. Knights is now 20 years old and marketing it over just the maroon and grey (think of UND today) is a lot better.

That was a goon move, he should have gotten a 5 minute major and a game DQ. But of course the refs are crap and he got 2 minutes.

Because they (UND) are dropping the Sioux name as priority one, no matter how they got it done even if it including a ban of choosing a new name for a period of time, now that time is over and a selection of a new name is upon us. If by some chance the vote to keep the nickname as just UND, then who says the NCAA won't revisit the settlement. I guess we will know in the next couple of months.

They can't have a nickname until the cooling off period is over Jan 1st it was over and here we are picking a new name. Saying we haven't had a nickname since 2012 is not entirely true since we were bound by law not to have one until 2015.

Maybe because of the cooling off period. The NCAA knows they won't be the Fighting Sioux or any other name for 3 years, guess what times up and a new name will be picked next month.

Unless they poll 100% of UND fans across just North Dakota there is no clear majority.
