UND didn't have an "official nickname" during the regional, we were still in our cooling off period when it was awarded. Now that people are voting for a new name if no nickname is the "official" name the NCAA can do something about it. There is a difference between taking steps to retire the name for good (which happened from 2012-present time) and getting around the NCAA policy and keeping the Fighting Sioux as an unofficial nickname with no nickname and the NCAA knows this. Simple fix...pick a new name and move on.

Or they want the vote to go that way making a great story of the outrage by people demanding ND be back on the nickname list. No news is good news and bad news is the most read news.

If Russia and China are fighting in Syria, the US should be nowhere near that sh&tshow, and risk a kill from "friendly fire".

So this guy represents the Sioux people...where was this guy when Standing Rock voted to get rid of the Sioux name? Why didn't we hear his name in the media? Where was his protests of the Standing Rocking Tribal Council? UND is a couple weeks from choosing a new name and this joker, excuse me, voice of the Sioux people suddenly comes out of the woodwork and wants to sue? What a joke! If he wanted action he would have done something like 5 years ago.

4-1 this is great and looking at the team's left UND has a great chance at being 8-3 at the end of the season. Only Montana and CP worry me, I think UND can beat the Bobcats at home in front of a packed house. However those other "winnable games" worry me as well. UNC, Weber and ISU could sneak up and pull an upset. One game at a time and hopefully cut down the tall trees along the way.

At least one thing is for sure ISU can't back out of this trip like they did after we beat them in 2008.
