why do you love Jones so much? He has 3 winning seasons over 9 years all in the GWC. UND could do so much better, but then I am sure you thought Mussman was a good coach too.

I still say fire him. Yes it was a win, but that win doesn't excuse what he has done (or not done) in the now 10 years of coaching. He has this program free falling and BF better step up and announce at the end of the season Jones is gone. Recruiting, attendance, media, all could be better with a new coach as we saw with the football team. If you want to hang on to Jones because of a double OT win against big bad Bradley, then by all means go for it, while I and others can still see this as a long season just like last year. If we can stay within 10 of NDSU I will be impressed.

Until the wounds heal? What if we were Fighting Hawks back in 2010 when the Sioux name was retired do you think wounds would've healed in 5 years? There are those hockey only fans who are Sioux or nothing they would've thrown the other programs on sanctions to keep the name. Those are probably the only ones booing. Actually they don't. They use Braves as we all do in the National Anthem, as a general term, not as an Indian type braves. They were on the NCAA's watch list, and as of 2005 haven't used any NA imagery associated with the name.

If we get more "big" colleges into DI hockey would the "little" schools like the Alaska's, Bemidji St etc would drop down? Or could the WCHA try to lure these teams in their conference. And how many teams could we have in our conference? I would love to see one day we have 80-100 schools in DI hockey with UND the "Alabama" of the hockey world.

I hope the Big Sioux Truck Stop and the Sioux-per Suds near Slap Shot Pizza keep their name.

They should put up a fight, and hopefully we can take a game from them. Last time these two teams played was a 78-69 Bradley win on November 19, 2011.

Bradley may be 1-7 but they have played a lot of tough teams. They have played Arizona, Virginia, Seton Hall, and Ole Miss. Their win was against Ball State who is 6-2 on the year. This is going to be a very tough game especially on the road where Jones has an extremely poor record.

What is sick is the same people who like to make excuses to keep this guy coaching and to continue to run the program into the ground. People demand a change because this team is not being coached the way they should and the result is in the wins and losses especially the blowout losses. You can go ahead and think I and others get a thrill over UND losing so we can say we were right. Well you are so wrong. I get upset that this team loses but will always continue to support the players (not Jones) but the players, because they are trying their best, while being coached by someone who has no clue what he is doing. We all saw the same thing with Mussman and he did run that program into the ground including losing to a lesser team (Sioux Falls), which parallel's Jones' loss to Mayville St. (a lesser team). Bubba had to pick up the pieces and butts are starting to come back to the Alerus and the word playoffs have come back to life, do you think the Betty is going to be sold out and playoffs will be talked about when referring to the men's basketball team? People want a change and quick.
