I am glad this day is here, 3 years too late. Are we going to have a year of logo ideas, committee formations and rounds of voting.

We played SIU when we first moved up I thought for sure more games with them would occur but didn't. Whomever we play just make it DI, the types of Drake, and Valpo would work too.

100% on the money!!! No DII, NAIA teams at all. There are lots of chances with our open slots in 2018 and 2019 to do a home and home with the home game in GF in 2017 and a road game in 2018 or 2019 (although in 2019 we have no FBS game scheduled and have a road game already with NDSU). Maybe another round with SDSU since its a cheap trip.

Since next year's schedule is full (5 home 6 road), 2017 has one slot open and we have 4 home games, who would you like to see UND get a home game with? I would like to see UND give Dale Lennon a home reunion and host SIU. Studsrud would be a senior and would make for a good matchup, and also a possible Potato Bowl game.

Very sad, I still remember him almost beating NDSU in Fargo in 1991. He was a good player and I enjoyed watching him in person. RIP Kory.

Thats good. We need to market basketball more than say hockey. Hockey takes care of its self, while other sports (sadly enough) need a little boost to tell fans "hey we are in town come on out".

If Studsrud didn't get hurt just think where this team would be sitting. It would be too bad if we beat Poly and miss the playoffs. This reminds me of the early 1990's where UND was close to breaking out only to miss the playoffs (I want to say 1991) if we are that far along in our rebuilding, that is very impressive since it took Roger 7 years to get to the playoffs.

Just curious has there been any marketing for UND basketball like tv commercials or billboards? Anything that says "hey UND is hosting XXXX this week".

Thats nice since the 2 teams don't play til December 11th. A lot can change for either team. UND has played 1 game vs DI opponents while NDSU has played 2. Both teams have 6 games between now and Dec. 11th, after your game on Dec 6th lets see where both teams lie with more games under their belt.

We lost by 14 to Wisconsin, which isn't too bad (last year they lost to 2 power teams by more than 30 points). Lets just hope maturity kicks in and the bugs of playing a "real" opponent gets out and we can compete against teams not in the Big 10. A lot of work to do, and heat is on Jones' seat but if we can get a big win (UNI) maybe this team can gain some confidence or its going to be a long season.

I would rather this team compares itself to Wisconsin than a DIII team. WIU went out and beat the Badgers, if we can stay competitive things could look up for this team. If we lose and hate to say it looks like they will, it's how they lose where you can measure this team especially if it's bad shots and turnovers killing us.

This should be a good measuring stick where this team is at. UMM didn't really show us much but a major Big 10 team will.

It's something how 2 years ago we were frustrated with 3 win seasons and firing coaches, now we are talking playoffs with a coach who has been with the team almost 2 full seasons and we have a running offense and defense towards the top of the FCS. This is what this program has been missing since 2007, and it's a relief that these type of threads and posts are back. Good times are starting to flow again.

I thought because of our playoff system you can't have divisions in the FCS, or I am wrong on that.
