Why would Omaha and Denver pay a million bucks for more travel and higher costs? I think you need to try again. Sure the BSC might want them, but it wouldn't be mutual. And the BSC is just going to dump longtime members?

The BSC can't simply tell some of its members, were relegating you to the WAC. That would be a mess. No one would choose the mess that the WAC is. Trying to partner with the WAC would be a bad deal for the BSC.

Or, other schools were better prepared to start with. Or, other schools don't receive near the sum of dollars that und is accustomed to receive and counts on. Or, other school may be managed better than the current state of und. Or, other schools will also be announcing specifics on how they are handling the cuts shortly. Let's not assume that other schools in the state are not prepared or preparing. We both know that they all getting a reduction in funding, and all are preparing. It will hurt everyone in some fashion.

No one gave SD Anything. They negotiated their own chance because they had leverage, just like ND has.

Denver agreed to the million dollar buyout, so I don't think they are in a hurry to exit the Summit.

So, the rules are going to be changed to allow the BSC to go FBS (your words), but rules are in place that does not allow the MVFC to move to the FBS (your words). How do you have 1 ounce of credibility? Clearly you are makng things up due to your obvious ndsu hatred.

Given Denver's pass on several sports, I think UMKC has nothing worry about as they come back. UMKC has a good location for the footprint, I'd welcome them back.

You see, the Summit would push for UND. That is a new concept called L-e-v-e-r-a-g-e. If you could have the Summit/MVFC, why would you want to stay in the BSC?

Blah, Blah. The truth is that the MVFC could do anything that Big Sky would be able to do related to FBS football. We've been over this so many times, but you continue to have your head buried deep in the sand. They Big Sky has nothing that is exclusive. If Idaho provided any benefit to FBS, then the MVFC would have NMSU to get the same benefit. There is zero benefit for UND in BSC related to FBS football. I can find many that would agree with me, and few that would support your theories.

Why wouldn't und just go FBS in the MVC? Same difference, Idaho or NMS, or Hadn't you considered that with your scenario?

So, the Big Sky is going to be afforded opportunities that are exclusive to the Big Sky? Is that what you are saying? Just because Fullerton's a great guy, is that the reason? The NCAA has said no Moveup to many FCS conferences over the years. Saying yes to the Big Sky sounds like a big lawsuit from the CAA and it's former members who had to jump though hoops and pay large sums of money to work their way to the FBS. So if the Big Sky can join FBS, can the Pioneer League do it too? What a great deal.

If UND was offered Summit/MVFC membership, they'd be crazy not to listen. You are playing football outside your recruiting area. Recruiting would improve for FB for sure. All UND would need to do is tell them Summit they'd join with MVfC membership, and they'd get the help they needed from the SL. It's not hard to figure out. SD understood how to leverage this.

Moratorium on Bowls, yes I know. That helps the Big Sky go FBS, how???? Oh, I see, fewer bowl games means FBS Big Sky is for sure. Gee wiz, you can't make this stuff up. For the Big Sky to go FBS the other conference would need to approve this. How in the world would any P5 conference want a 3rd rated FCS conference to join their ranks? It's laughable that any FBS conference would support this.

That's BS. NDSU fans know that to join the FBS ranks, you need to join "An Existing" conference . . . not create some sort of BS scheme with marginal teams and FCS conferences. The steam right now is the Summit expansion talks. UND might not even be in the Big Sky come 2019, the AD might come to his senses.

SD, SDSU, UNI vs. MT, MTSU, UND . . . No difference other than less travel. The rivalries, the caliber of play, no difference. Throw in IL state and S IL and YT for FB and you have a better conf in the Valley. Why would ndsu so west, other than MWC? There is no benefit, just negatives on travel and recruiting base. Basketball, I'd take the summit every time over BSC.

If the BSC is allowed to be FBS, anyone (and I mean anyone) can go FBS . . . all current rules would be out the door. I don't believe that would ever happen. But if it did, there is no western draw for NDSU, none. Why double travel for a worse conference? If there is a G5/P5 split, the Valley will be ahead of the BSC in competing for Tier 2 titles for FB, just as it is today at the FCS level. When Wichita leaves the MVC, the MVC and Summit will be on nearly equal footing in M/W BB.

Even if the BSC got approval for an FBS conf (to which I say BS), if there are no changes to the current FBS, there is no draw. If I'm ndsu, I stay out of that bottom of the barrel league and stay in the Valley. The valley will move if the sky can move.
