  1. The MVC would be told the same thing as the CAA and BSC, entire conferences are not allowed to move up enmass, individual team would need an invite from an existing FBS conference. What part of that don't you understand? And if they could, the MVC is going to replace its best football team on its way to FBS with Lamar? Are you high?
  2. And nothing would move less merchandise than Nodaks. No nickname would generate more merchandise than this choice, are you kidding me.
  3. Well, Nodaks is as close to nothing as you can get for a legitimate nickname, so I suppose the fighting Sioux forever folks must love it. Nodaks would move some serious merchandise, not.
  4. Sorry, but the North Dakota . . . Nodaks? What is a Nodak? You are equating ND Nodaks to Missouri Mizzous? No, Missouri is the Tigers. Calling ND the Nodaks would be like calling NDSU the Staters, it would be really dumb. What are people thinking? The only reason to call yourselves the Nodaks would be so you could continue to call yourselves the the Sioux. Nodaks, a really bad idea.
  5. Bresciani has a goal . . . that's all you really needed to say. That alone would be very confusing for the good people of SS.
  6. Ammunition to add masters and doctoral programs at NDSU, but nothing to do with football I can assure you.
  7. Yes, and the CAA would be FBS aslo if given the opportunity. They were not given the opportunity, they were told that the only way to move FBS was to join an existing league. Their league, like the Big Sky is not FBS. Why would the Big Sky be told YES, when the CAA was given a flat out NO?
  8. The UND president was out of town and unavailable for comment, but I'm sure they are studying the AAU landscape. If I recall, they annouced AAU for hockey earlier, so they will probably be declaring that they will be pursuing AAU certification for the entire university in the next few days, as the landscape becomes clearer of course.
  9. You can always hope that the FCS cuts scholarships back to help you compete like in the DII days. Then you won't need to get the scissors out. Cutting programs is usually very upsetting to an athletic department and its student athletes. I'm surprised at the "no big deal" attitude toward cutting programs, even though it seem inevitable. And I'm pretty sure that Marsha has 12 championships to Jan's (me too) 1.
  10. UND has to raise nearly 3x what NDSU needs to raise to fund FCOA in '16, and may need to cut sports. Neither school has a concrete plan, both just announced. Why is that a problem at NDSu and not at UND? I'd rather be raising $350 than $900, and I rather not be worrying about whether or not I need to cut my sport offerings.
  11. Thanks for pointing out the dirt in my eye. if you need some help with log in yours, let me know.
  12. No, it doesn't really matter does it. But at least be honest about why UND did it. Faison would still be fat and happy with FCOA for hockey only if Ndsu wasn't doing FCOA for all sports.
  13. Why are people questioning how NDSU will raise the $350/year, when UND needs to raise $900 and might have to cut sports to do it. That issue would be much more concerning to me.
  14. NDSU will need to raise $350k or less by Sep 2016. Team Makers will eat that up and spit it out. I'm not implying anything, just stating facts. UND said "me Too" to FCOA six days after Ndsu did. I think that says it all.
  15. NDSU follows the activities and interests outline set forth by the ncaa, and are certified to this outline. Is this not correct? NDSU has 8 womens sports, all of which are fully funded and all of which will have FCOA. Are all of UND womens sports fully funded like I'm sure hockey is? Will UND need to cut sports or strip schollies in order to pay FCOA for the scholarships that are offered? We will see.
  16. No, there's a specific plan for 1/2 of it for 3 years, the rest will be fundraising. Does UND have all the money sources? No, no they don't, they are working on it, just like NDSU.
  17. No, but then I'd be telling you that the only reason you did it was because of SDSU . . . and you'd be making up some BS like you were going to do it all along, and the timing was just right at that time, and it had nothing to do with SDSU. Doooh-K.
  18. I don't know the exact breakdown, but that's pretty accurate from what I've seen. Total of 700-750k.
  19. Which is the same as saying "Me Too" after NDSU announce FCOA for all sports.
  20. Is he "monitoring" activities in his conference, or in north Fargo? That's a pretty easy one, Let's be honest. Can you be honest? I didn't think so.
  21. Let's be honest, NDSU is meeting the requirements set forth by the ncaa. Their athletics scholarship plan is certiified by the ncaa. Is that honest? Let's be honest . . . UND offered FCOA for hockey with no intention of doing FCOA for all sports. Faison acted like the cat that swallowed the canary when he said that UND was doing FCOA for hockey where they were needed to compete at the highest level. He had zero intention of doing FCOA for anything but hockey. He certainly didn't need it in the BSC, still doesn't. Let's be honest. Let's be honest . . . NDSU said "who cares that UND is offering FCOA for hockey, that doesn't affect us, we will do what's right for us." NDSU looked at FB, BB, Wresting, T&F and other sports and said that everything needs to be included based on recruiting against FBS level teams in all of these sports. NDSU received a matching donation offer for 3 years from a doner which put them in a good spot to easily achieve the 750k needed starting in 2016. Let's be honest . . . when UND saw NDSU was doing FCOA for all sports, Faison had a steady stream of coaches in his office. Then he gulped and said, Me Too . . . and went to find a scissors. Let's be honest.
  22. Ya, its a shame that NDSU doesn't have cutting sports and decimating what they offer on the table like UND. What a great lever that is!! Maybe they could cut coaches salaries further too, lots of great options for UND.
  23. UND is DI, because Ndsu is DI. UND is offering COA for all sports, because NDSU announced it. And you are criticizing USD for just following with out a plan? UND would be hockey only and feeling good about it for COA, if it weren't for trying to keep up with NDSU.
