Mankato, UMD for sure. I was thinking about the series out east during October but that will be my honeymoon. My future bride has never seen hockey before, (she is from China) and was thinking at first to show her curling. Then later take her to a hockey game and tell her there is more action in it! I've shown her clips of Sioux hockey on youtube and she is excited to see it.

Hate to post twice in a row, but on my way back from China now and on 8-4-07 was on a layover in Tokyo Japan. Saw several men in USA basketball shirts. Minutes later the coaching staff walked by and Rich Glas(former mens basketball coach for UND) was one of the coaches. Talked to him for several minutes and he said the team, from Northern Iowa was playing in a tourney I believe he said in Thailand.

DEc.24,2006, flying on United Airlines from MSP_-Chicago to Beijing China and talking with a flight attendant. We discussed where we were from and he was from the Twin Cities. Told him I was from ND but working in central MN. Started talking schools and he told me he went to UND from 1979-1984. I was there from 1980-85! Talked hockey for hours.I was flying coach so he went up into first class, came back with a bottle of champange, candy, crackers and cheese, all wrapped nicely in a fancy napkin. Enjoyed the rest of the flight eating first class. Two days later ran into him and other flight attendants in downtown Beijing China shopping. We both saw each other and shouted out, "GO SIOUX! "

If you call this number they can tell you when single game tickets go on sale. Phone: (701)77-SIOUX I always call on the first day and get mine for games I know that I want to attend. I live in St.Cloud and on the day tickets go on sale for hockey, I go over and buy my Sioux tickets for that series. Last year I had a section of 9 of us, buddies flew all the way from L.A. for the weekend. Blizzard but I got them from the airport to the game. Go Sioux!

Maybe I should tell the NCOO that as a Christian I am opposed to the Duke BLUE DEVILS. It bothers me that people cheer for the enemy. Or maybe I should go out and get upset with pro baseball and the Reds because I think it discriminates against all of the other wonderful colors we have. The NFL has the Bears, they scare me and bears have been known to kill people. Let's get rid of them too.

Just reading those names bring back such great memories. I think everyone's choices are great. we have been blessed at und. since we are talking fantasy teams I'd like to watch any of those combos seeing us beat the Gophers and after the game having a cool one at the original Whitey's and having a grinder from the Red Pepper at 1 a.m as I fall into bed

I wonder if the NCAA is thinking, "Wow...these people have dropped a lot of coin and they are serious about this. Let's settle this." I am so proud that we have people that want to stand up and fight for the name. GO SIOUX!

Getting by in China reading "The Boys of Winter" story of the 1980 Olympic team. Last night was on a train from Harbin, China, up near the Russian border and there was a family of Russians on board my train car. They didn't speak English but their Chinese guide spoke Russian and Chinese. My wife speaks Chinese so through a conversation through her to the guide to the Russians we were able to talk about a lot of hockey. The family had a son along that plays hockey, huge kid, with arms as big as many people's thighs. I gave them the fighting sioux website . That was my fix of hockey for the week.

I tried to get tickets last year and didn't in the lotto but found tons for sale on ebay the week before the tourney. got them for less than the original cost. Maybe it was because of the teams involved but there are always tickets out there is what I have found.

I miss hockey too. I'm in China right now and just found out that they have ice hockey in the city I'm in!!!! I'm in the NE near the Russian border and they have winter sports. I saw the Green/White intra-squad scrimmage this spring and it looks like they have some challenges ahead of them. But... knowing it's the last year in the NCC I think they will make it a season to remember. Lots of history in the conference and I know all will want to be the last champion of it. GO SIOUX!

Nee how! Chur la ma?(did you have your meal) shing, not sure on that one. Just got back from shopping, nice dress shirt for $8 along with dress pants for the same. Went to a tailor to get them altered for 75 cents. No Grinders here and really miss them plus Sioux sports so just had to log on to see what fans are talking about. I'm already chilling a bottle of bubbly for the day the lawsuit is settled and the Sioux name prevails. I'm even thinking about getting a tattoo to match my Sioux hockey jersey. If the guy that refused to eat at Zorbas is passing through Sioux Falls, SD or Sioux City Iowa, I hope he keeps going and doesn't need to stop for gas.

That will buy a few sticks for the team as we head out of the gate and down the stretch in 08 !

It was fun watching the auction each day. Now I guess I'll just have to watch the countdown clock at the top of this website
