I just went on priceline.com and got a room for $58 at the Sheraton. Should be a fun weekend. Last time I was in town we went home with the Regional Championship! Does anyone know if you have to sign up for the shuttle bus.

That was a great sight watching the seniors skate. It made the 4 hour drive home last night all the better. For some strange reason as they were skating I kept thinking of the song by the Carpenters, "We've Only Just Begun." Must have been the excessive amount of candy I was eating. But anyhow, was picturing more that this group will give us in the weeks ahead! Go Sioux! On to Wisconsin!

We also had Kermit the Frog riding with Denny on the zamboni. Still have the bumper sticker, "Kermit's Luck Guides Our Puck." I think we were told to stop using Kermit by the head muppet master.

Our family had 5 of 6 kids in our family go and graduate from UND. When I was in high school and growing up on a small farm in southeastern ND, I remember Prairie Public TV showing the games at 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. I would stay up late and watch the games on an old black/white tv set with a ton of tin foil on the rabbit ears in order to see a snowy picture of the team in action. Mark Taylor, and the 1980 team were my heros. While attending UND from 1980-85 I never missed a series and was one of those that stood outside the Winter Sports Building from 9:00 pm until 8:00 a.m. the following morning to get the free tickets .. It was for either the Badger or Gopher series. We were totally unprepared as we had just come from the Fieldhouse from an intramural basketball game. Ah those were the days! And that is why I became a Sioux fan and will remain one for life.

Last year many on this site were able to get pieces of the schedule and I was able to add to it in April, just after the Frozen 4. I'll get on it and see what I can find out.

I just got a call from the UND ticket office and she said they had tickets for section 320. There were still some for sale as of this afternoon for the Wisconsin series.

Are the ticket prices the same for these series or did they jack them up like the prices for the Gophs and DU?

I just finished watching the dvd they sent with the tickets. They gave a review of the 1950's decade of the history of the league. My favorite line was when someone was remembering going to "The Barn" at UND. They said that 'two things hit them when they walked into the arena,how cold the air was inside and the smell of booze on the breath of the fans.' They followed that up with saying 'you could hear sounds of bottles getting knocked over as people stood up to leave after the game. Great memories it sounds like.

Maybe we can vote to see which is the worst away webcast, Choices could be: Harvard's empty arena and the no knowledge of hockey announcers, CC's scary Tiger head that appeared every few seconds, (still believe it was someone's screen saver that somehow got hooked up to the live feed.) Feel free to add to the list. I'll be taking a nap Friday afternoon and staying up for a Sioux victory on Friday night.

That's what I was thinking too. That was the tourney that SCSU played in this year (DEc.27-28). I emailed the person in charge of the tourney down there and asked him what the dates were and who was playing for 2009. If I get an answer I'll post it here. It's held in Estero, FL which is close to Ft. Myers. If so.... I'll be wearing a Sioux hockey jersey on the beach next Dec.! The Florida College Hockey Classic is a college Division I men's ice hockey tournament played annually around New Years at the Germain Arena in Estero, Florida, .

Is the Notre Dame tourney the one they hold over the Christmas break near Ft. Meyer?

No it wasn't you unless you like to wear purple and you were carrying a cow bell. He was a Mankato fan. We have come a long way since October. Go Sioux!

I hope the guy that I spoke with on Oct.17th in our first conference weekend, in our 3rd game of the season, after one period of play in Mankato, said to me, "It looks like the Sioux aren't going to have a good year," is at the game this weekend! (How's that for a run on sentence!) Sioux will be ready for a good series. I'll be there and look for a Stick Salute on Saturday.

I thought for sure we would see Hextall in the background still floating at the end of the show! It's also fun to see the training room, weight room etc... I kept thinking of what recruits must think when they see our building.

Watched the morning skate today. Guessing Blood and Toews will sit tonight . That might have already been noted somewhere. SCSU was on the practice rink while we were on the main rink. Guys looked focused. Today is Brad Miller's birthday I believe. I'm hoping it will be one to remember for him!

You are right on AZ. There were a lot of shots that were pretty easy saves. We thought the same thing. My buddy does the stats in the press box and he said the same thing.
