  1. Someone had used these earlier this year and I thought they were pretty funny. GOPH BUSTERS (like the Ghost Busters sign from the movie..with a gopher and the red circle around it, and a slash through it.) COACHES FROM COLORADO PLEASE REFRAIN FROM WALKING ON THE ICE.
  2. This appeared in the ST.Cloud Times today. There is a bill that a former Gopher hockey player is trying to get passed that would stop scholarships for athletes from other countries that attend universities in MN. link
  3. St. Cloud has already posted this today. 2009-2010 schedule 2009-2010 NOV. 13-14 SCSU @ UND FEB. 12-13 UND @ SCSU
  4. I was surprised to see so many for sale on ebay already. I remember in St. Louis there were tons of tickets for sale too.
  5. Here's a great story about Air Force.LINK TO STORY
  6. No, my question was, "Where is Paul Shafer from?" Another time it was "what state is Dave from?"I did eat at Rupperts at noon before the show. Biff Henderson was in there so got my photo taken with both of those guys. I was there in the summer and inside the Ed Sullivan theater it must have been about 35 degrees! Glad I wore a jacket and sweats to the show.
  7. If you really want it the show will send you a copy of it but they charge for it. The reason I know is that 5 years ago after returning home from coaching a game I put the show on. As I was falling asleep I thought I heard my name. When I woke up they were doing "Viewer Mail" and they were reading my letter. After the letter was read they did a short skit on it. My letter was: "Hey Dave, How fast can you run the mile?" His reply was "Oh, in about an hour. But our cue card man Tony can run a mile in under 4 minutes." Then they did a dream sequence with Tony running around NYC in just under 4 minutes. I got the tape a week later and it was shown at the school where I coach at. Pretty cool. If anyone is ever in NYC and you want some tips on getting into the show I can share. I have attended 4 shows there and one week I went in twice. PM me if interested. It also might be on cbs.com under the David Letterman show.
  8. RT O'Sullivan's in Mesa. I went there last year and it was great. Met a lot of ND fans, alum, and it was a good time.
  9. UND in 2 DU in 2 Wisconsin in 3 CC in 3 SCSU in 3. I don't think the Gophers can beat them 6 times in one season. Everyone arrives tired except the Sioux and Pioneers to the X and the Sioux with the home town crowd wins another trophy to add to the display case. Also gets to sew some more stitching on some more banners.
  10. Time to sew another banner! We are here in Madison and had a great time at the game and afterwards with a lot of Sioux fans. Great job!
  11. Does anyone know if the Kohl Center has any restrictions on cameras or the size of lens that can be brought in? I just want to know if I need to wear my smuggling clothes this weekend or not.
  12. 3.5 stars. Orbitz had it listed as $303 per night! I'm guessing that must be an error. Your tip of priceline last year Bob when we came for the Regional was great and I remembered it this year so used that website. I see ebay is starting to sell a few tickets for this series. Do you think it will be sold out? We got tickets through UND a week ago so we're all set.
  13. Is it within walking distance from the hotel to the game? The weather is suppose to be in the 40's on Saturday so that would make it nice.
  14. I just went on priceline.com and got a room for $58 at the Sheraton. Should be a fun weekend. Last time I was in town we went home with the Regional Championship! Does anyone know if you have to sign up for the shuttle bus.
  15. That was a great sight watching the seniors skate. It made the 4 hour drive home last night all the better. For some strange reason as they were skating I kept thinking of the song by the Carpenters, "We've Only Just Begun." Must have been the excessive amount of candy I was eating. But anyhow, was picturing more that this group will give us in the weeks ahead! Go Sioux! On to Wisconsin!

We also had Kermit the Frog riding with Denny on the zamboni. Still have the bumper sticker, "Kermit's Luck Guides Our Puck." I think we were told to stop using Kermit by the head muppet master.
  17. Our family had 5 of 6 kids in our family go and graduate from UND. When I was in high school and growing up on a small farm in southeastern ND, I remember Prairie Public TV showing the games at 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. I would stay up late and watch the games on an old black/white tv set with a ton of tin foil on the rabbit ears in order to see a snowy picture of the team in action. Mark Taylor, and the 1980 team were my heros. While attending UND from 1980-85 I never missed a series and was one of those that stood outside the Winter Sports Building from 9:00 pm until 8:00 a.m. the following morning to get the free tickets .. It was for either the Badger or Gopher series. We were totally unprepared as we had just come from the Fieldhouse from an intramural basketball game. Ah those were the days! And that is why I became a Sioux fan and will remain one for life.
  18. Last year many on this site were able to get pieces of the schedule and I was able to add to it in April, just after the Frozen 4. I'll get on it and see what I can find out.
  19. I just got a call from the UND ticket office and she said they had tickets for section 320. There were still some for sale as of this afternoon for the Wisconsin series.
  20. Are the ticket prices the same for these series or did they jack them up like the prices for the Gophs and DU?
