  1. We just got back from the Wild/Blackhawks game. It was great to see Toews again. My wife and I both wore our Sioux shirts and he gave a half smile as he was warming up near us. I'll be posting some more photos in the morning.
  2. You are right. I was at the SCSU-Brown womens' game tonight and Shepard (the Papa) was in the press box. The U of M/Badger was on on tv. When he saw the fight he said, "He's gone, he's gone for next week."
  3. A friend that I work with does. He's gotten some really neat ones in the past few weeks. Do you have some to sell or are you looking on where to get some?
  4. Stafford gets a goal and assist as the Sabres win. Nice interview and a short segment between periods of him playing for the Sioux during the Final 5. Seems like only yesterday old #18 was playing for us.
  5. That was one comment I kept hearing from a lot of Mav fans was how well the Sioux travel and support their team. Farce poobah, your account of the game last night was right on.
  6. I didn't know that about the beer bottles at the REA. That's too bad that has to happen anywhere. I just didn't like the shower of beer being sprayed on me as the bottles flew over my head. 3rd period felt good and it was fun to see the Sioux fans start to get back into the game too. Looking forward to seeing them again in GF.
  7. Toews played Friday and I saw him walking around on Saturday. Maybe it's just me but I wish the guys that are a scratch should sit together and watch the game rather than walking around during it. 3rd period was fun last night. I was glad to have the Mav fans silent that surrounded me. Didn't like all the beer bottles that were thrown after the game.
  8. We were at the game last night and when we scored first I thought it was going to be a good night. Seems a lot of our passes were to an area where no one was skating towards. Everyone a step behind. A MSU fan came up to me between periods when it was 2-1 and said it's going to be a down year for the Sioux. My answer... it's the first weekend of WCHA league play and it's a long season."
  9. He's pretty popular already at SCSU and did a pretty good job last weekend.
  10. What address did you use for Dave Christian? His nephew is playing at SCSU now so whenever I go to a Huskie game I'm bringing stuff for him to sign in case he is there.
  11. We were thinking about trying to upgrade too. I asked the same question earlier in this thread but didn't get an answer. It says on the order form that the upgrades are based on the priority year with the Final 5. So it sounds like the more years you've had these seats the better chance you have.
  12. Last year was the first year I got the package and enjoyed it. How easy is to upgrade to a different section? Right now we're in 113, in the corner, not bad but am thinking of trying to get more to center ice. I too got Regional tickets. They had the count down clock on the site so only had to look at Gopher stuff for less than 7 minutes.
  13. I watched the game on the internet and it looks like a much improved team from a year ago. The new players they added will certainly help. Nice job ladies and go after the sweep tonight!
  14. I started to look at tickets today but have a question for anyone that has been to this arena. How many rows are there? I want to be above the glass and am wondering how high up I need to go. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for the past 3 years AZ and for all the time you put into the league. I for one truly appreciated it and it did broaden my knowledge of the whole WCHA. I work with a SCSU, UMD and U of M grad so I'm going to do it at work with just the 4 of us. Won't be the same however. Thanks again!
  16. WATKINS (FRIDAY) FINLEY (SATURDAY)
  17. We have friends in Mankato and he got us tickets today. Last year I think there were more Sioux fans there than the Purple Cow Followers. See you there!
  18. You can try ticketmaster for these tickets. Only bad thing about that is paying those extra fees. If you know someone in each of those cities you could always have them get them for you. That's what we did for the Mankato and UMD series.
  19. "In Bob I Trust." Last year you were right on for us with Price Line for the Regional in Madison and it was great. It's worth it to explore the priceline route first before you book. Glad we did. Thanks Bob, hope to see you at a game this year!
  20. Last year we stayed at the Raddison which is also where the players stayed. It's all connected by tunnels from there to the hockey arena. The pool wasn't great but we were there to watch hockey and it was our 100th day of marriage. That day also marked Hak's 100th win the same day. Pretty cool. When we were walking through the tunnels to that game we met the coaches walking there too talking shop. Staying downtown near the game is nice to bar hop afterwards.
  21. I hope since they got new home uniforms they'll be selling all the old ones. I liked how they did it a few years ago with the Swift jerseys up for auction on the internet. Gave people that aren't able to attend home games a chance to bid. I hope to see that word Sioux attached to the ND forever.
  22. . In Duluth, We're in Section 27 Row 7 for both nights. We'll be celebrating our 1st anniversary on Nov.23rd. We want a Sioux victory.
  23. I had heard that the Gopher/SCSU were for sale on line after a day or two.
  24. I went over after work and picked up some more too for the SCSU series. Still some room in section 210. Tickets $30 a piece. On another note SCSU didn't let people buy tickets on ticketmonster for the Gopher series. Instead you had to buy them at the ticket office. There weren't many left either for the Jan. series but some for the Oct. game in St.Cloud. They had a deal, buy a Gopher ticket and Robert Morris ticket for $35.
  25. It's amazing the price went up that much compared to the other prices in the league. I just bought tickets for the SCSU-Sioux game and it is $30 this year compared to $25 from last year. Only paying $16 at Mankato and $25 at UMD when they play the Sioux. We're going to watch the Gopher/Sioux game on the internet this year. If the rest of the league ever raised prices that high I think we'd end up having to watch all the games on the net.
