    That's not a shock. Schools change logos all the time. I'd expect this one to be around for 3-4 years.

    Who are these bigger fish? You're asking a hypothetical question that can't be answered for close to a decade. And my source for knowing WMU and Miami are happy? Talking to administrators and coaches from both schools. Being annoyed with increased travel compared to the CCHA does not mean you're upset with being in a conference, or looking to leave.

    Nothing screams big time like home games against the four teams you mention. Such rich football history. Certainly each game will draw 10,000.

    They all went to new conferences. A WAC Big Sky would be the same teams that aren't drawing much interest from UND fans. The home schedule would be damn nearly the exact same as it is now. Add a home game against a MAC or lower MWC school every few years and that's it.

    AF will never leave Atlantic Hockey. Right now, they have a chance of making the national tournament every year as the autobid. If they go to another conference, that goes out the window. They can hold their own in single games throughout the year with NCHC teams but they would be a bottom feeder in any other conference.

    Yeah, you're right. There hasn't been any backlash towards the current president over the logo release at all. Might as well have just pushed all this joy and love into Kennedy's first couple of days The logo isn't being "tweaked." Every logo has accompanying variations for different backgrounds. Those haven't been released yet. The main logo on the UND page is not being changed.

    I would like to see documentation or any sort of proof that it doesn't lessen the school or its athletic programs. You've stated it as fact, so I'm sure you have proof. You've already stated that other schools get confused with those with M logos. How does that not lessen the impact of a school?

    They wanted to get out the main version of the logo before Kennedy took over.

    My guess is there is only an outline when it's put on a green jersey. I think the negative space on the white is what makes it look so nice.

    The six different shades of green instantly makes this a no-go. This is taking a flat logo and adding 14 photoshop effects to see how much it can imitate a 7th grader playing with photoshop for the first time.

    Make a lot of trips outside of North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota, Dave? Happen to be a coach, athlete or SID for UND that travels across the country and gets questions about Notre Dame constantly? Those are the people this affects the most, not us fans. There is a lot of similarity to the UND/ND logos and the UM/UM logos, but just because the latter looks similar does mean the former should also look similar. Since I work for a school that has hosted both UND and Notre Dame in the last several years, I've had to point out to the in-house graphics people that the Notre Dame logo they have on the board is not the correct logo for UND. If people who work in athletics can't even tell the difference, how can the average fan?

    They have always planned on having different variations for different backgrounds. Just want to make it clear that there are no "modifications" being done. The logo was decided on, and released, while Schafer was President so Kennedy would hopefully not have to deal with any of it.

    So far, with a much more successful transition to D1 and five consecutive national championships, NDSU deserves to be laughing. I'd much rather have the consistency of Portugal and NDSU than try and be a brief feel good story like Leicester and Iceland. Or does your analogy not include decades of failure that would make programs like that have "checked egos."

    I love the geometric logo, but I really think the new logo looks sharper than either of the other two.

    We're past the nickname choice. Fighting Hawks was chosen, so we're going to have a fighting hawks logo. Don't hate the logo just because you hate the name.

    Only one person you mentioned is capable of doing the entire job for Midco. It's not just showing up on the weekends and doing some play-by-play. Hammer also worked his ass off during the week in putting together stories, interviews, weekly coaches shows and more. The only person who has any video experience is Sweeney and he didn't apply.

    A logo everyone can agree on? Haha, good luck with that. The problem for a big number of UND fans is that any new logo is not the Sioux logo, so they'll never accept it.

    It's from talking to Jayson. SME is working on color variations and specific team wordmarks.
