Good idea but when you put a runner in the wildcat, teams are going to be looking for the run. When you have Keaton in there, he has the option to pass which keeps teams on their toes... not as much with the wildcat.

We've been told over and over how a nice video board is such a huge motivator for fan attendance. Having an HD board in the TC means two things... 1) fans in the arena actually have a large scoreboard to watch replays and etc. 2) The production will be in HD, which means the third place game that UND is so fond of playing in, will be streamed in HD instead of the junk SD they've done the past two years.

Just a note... the contract with the Target Center was signed by Jim Scherr. The current NCHC staff has not been overly pleased with the TC, especially the major issues with the ice both years.

and if the receiver turns his route outside, that throw is right to his chest.

Ever watched a football game? QBs have to throw to a location

Studsrud with great throw and then a TD run

Adler needs to run with that. Tons of open space. Good run by Santiago

We never should have gone D1 if we can't afford a 100 million dollar retractable roof stadium in campus. Might as well drop all sports. I don't remember these issues when und was winning big in the early 2000s.

this is a gameday thing so it's a und athletic department thing. Fyi, a lot of conferences have rules saying the announcer must appear to be impartial. You won't hear any of that type of stuff at a decent number of schools.

I tried it last year and it didn't work. Although it may have been upgraded this year, so give it a shot on Monday. Otherwise, if you can, just chrome cast from your laptop or phone

Same here. It's my only chance to see non-hockey UND sports and I attend most in Colorado. -
Vote on your final 5 nickname choices (just ND is out)

Fighting Sioux was also submitted many times and had it been left as an option for vote, quite possibly would have won. Does that make it a good selection? -
Media day is underway at the Target Center today. Should be some exciting feature videos from the conference this year. I'm really looking forward to whatever great products they produce. Always been at the forefront of social media of all of the hockey conferences. There's already this video featuring a couple refs from the league: http://www.nchc.tv/nchc/video/nchc-2015-nchc-referee-camp-recap Timmy Walsh is a pretty great guy and if you have a chance to listen/watch the ref GoPro helmets produced by the conference at the Frozen Faceoffs the last two years, he has some great lines in there. /shameless plug

Perhaps feathers could also be bird imagery? Going to be awfully tough if we're the Fighting Hawks to come up with a logo that doesn't include feathers.
-
but "Hungry Hawks" isn't up for a vote.
-
Yup. At least that's what MafiaMan is going with. Was UND initially known as the Fighting Sioux or just the Sioux? If it's the latter, then perhaps the "Fighting" will find its way back to UND without it being a forced adjective.

It's a great deal for the conference... who made the deal. Every team gets at least one game, which is the goal of the conference. Just because UND isn't on all 11 games, doesn't mean it's a crap deal. Incredibly false. Midco didn't give their feed to FCS as much last year because they're building out in Fargo. CableOne subscribers who are big UND hockey fans (a lot in Fargo) would have no incentive to change to Midco. I know it's difficult to understand that a business would make a decision in favor of its own business while still providing a service to all of it's paying customers. Midco doesn't care about not getting paid for FCS games. They care about those games being available to a competing cable franchise within Fargo.
