  1. North Dakota and Minnesota on the same plane would be even better. That would make for some good footage for "Through These Doors".
  2. Hope you guys are right, but since there are 6 WCHA teams in the tournament, they can completely disregard that rule if they want.
  3. I agree with Wodon's projections on CHN, except I see them keeping UND/Denver in the 8/9 match-up in Providence (as opposed to swapping Denver with Niagara). The rules allow them to keep a first-round conference match-up if the conference has 5 teams in the tournament, and this year we have 6. That being said, I think this is what we'll find out at 8:00 pm tonight: Providence: 1. Quinnipiac vs. 16. Canisius / 8. North Dakota vs. 9. Denver Grand Rapids: 2. Minnesota vs. 15. Yale / 6. Boston College vs. 11. Minnesota State Manchester: 3. Mass.-Lowell vs. 14. Wisconsin / 7. New Hampshire vs. 10. Niagara Toledo: 4. Notre Dame vs. 13. St. Cloud State / 5. Miami vs. 12. Union
  4. I think it was weird from the first post that contained a picture of a couple guys doing their business in the restroom.
  5. Straight bracket integrity would have Western Michigan and Union swapped in your scenario.
  6. Tough draw for Yale and Mankato, being forced to play in two regionals.
  7. Reiter was an OK goalie who got hot at the end of the season in 2011. He didn't exactly blow the record books away that season. As a matter of fact, Saunders numbers this season are slightly better than Reiter's were that season.
  8. The similarities to the 2011 Duluth team are very close. I said in the Bracketology thread that I believe we'll end up in Grand Rapids with Minnesota, and I still think that's a strong possibility. But the loss last night could help us land in the Providence regional with two ECAC teams, just like Duluth did in 2011.
  9. Saunders in net. O'Donnell on the top line again.
  10. I know what you are saying, but even if UND and New Hampshire end up in the #8 & #9 spots, I would bet money the committee ends up moving us to Grand Rapids while moving somebody else to Manchester with New Hampshire. If you look at Moy's bracketology today, he did the same thing with Notre Dame.
  11. I've run a bunch of scenarios, and I believe if we don't win the Broadmoor, we're all but guaranteed to end up in Grand Rapids with Minnesota. If we don't win 3 games this weekend, we'll probably end up as a low 2 seed, and with Minnesota guaranteed to be #2 in the PWR, that's the region we'll be sent to. Winning the Broadmoor would move us up to a high 2 seed or possibly a low 1 seed and avoid the Grand Rapids regional.
  12. Here's Moy's bracket for this week: This week’s brackets Grand Rapids 14 Western Michigan vs. 2 Minnesota 9 Notre Dame vs. 7 North Dakota Toledo 13 Denver vs. 3 Miami 12 St. Cloud State vs. 5 Yale Manchester 15 Union vs. 4 Boston College 10 Minnesota State vs. 8 New Hampshire Providence 16 Wisconsin vs. 1 Quinnipiac 11 Niagara vs. 6 Massachusetts-Lowell Read more: http://www.uscho.com/bracketology/2013/03/20/just-days-out-and-theres-quite-a-pack-on-the-bubble/#ixzz2O6ZUXOtm
  13. No, as the host of the Grand Rapids regional, they would be placed there. Quinnipiac should get placed in Providence, the closest regional to their school.
  14. Did you just call me stupid?
  15. Snake is actually right. http://www1.umn.edu/twincities/campuses/index.html
  16. Just realized that the CCHA championship game isn't until Sunday afternoon, and the selection show won't be until 8:00 pm central on Sunday night.
  17. New Hampshire knocked out in Hockey East first round by Providence. Looks like they will get some extra rest before hosting their Regional.
  18. Not going to chance driving to GF tonight, so I have 4 tickets in Section 107 Row H. I can arrange to email you the tickets and we can figure out payment. Asking $100 for all 4. PM me or email fargosioux@cableone.net if interested.
  19. $30 per ticket. PM me or email fargosioux@cableone.net. Can meet in FM area today or in GF before the game.
  20. Section 107 Row H. $40 per ticket. PM me or email fargosioux@cableone.net. Exchange can be done in Fargo-Moorhead area.
  21. Just got an email from UND. As a season ticket holder, we're being given access to purchase tickets now to the NCHC tournament. Seat locations will be prioritized based on when you purchase the tickets. Just bought my four. Hopefully I'm one of the earliest and will get good seats.
  22. I'll be sure to stop by their booth at the hockey expo and ask them how I convert my center-ice lower-level tickets at the Final Five into priority seating at the NCHC conference tournament, like the Big Ten is offering.
  23. I wonder if Common Man accepts quotes from college hockey fan forums for his Preposterous Statement Tournament.
