TSN's Bob McKenzie is reporting that Beau Bennett (soph) is leaving DU to sign with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Apparently Hastings is the only finalist MSU is announcing at this time. Interesting.

Per twitter, UNO Assistant Coach Mike Hastings is interviewing for the MSU job today and there is an open session with the media at 4:00.

Unfortunately, the Windsor Spitfires did indeed draft Sioux recruit Nick Schmaltz today with the hope of convincing Nick and Jordan to play together in the OHL. Sioux recruit Brendan Lemieux was drafted by the Barrie Colts.

Actually, Mariucci Arena is slightly smaller than The Ralph. Mariucci seats 10,000 and The Ralph seats 11,640. The Kohl Center seats 15,325. By my count, MN played 24 home games (including WCHA First Round), UND played 24 home games (including WCHA FIrst Round), and Wisconsin played 21 home games.

The OHL Draft is tomorrow and a couple Sioux recruits are on the radar http://www.westernco...t-day-in-sports It will always be a battle with the CHL for our recruits, but I feel like over the last year or two UND has had to deal with this issue more than other DI schools. I guess it speaks volumes about the type of talent we have in our recruiting pool. I imagine Windsor will be all over Jordan Schmaltz this summer, especially after the draft. It also sounds like Medicine Hat is strongly pushing for Miles Koules. Hopefully UND can keep them both.
